There's a saying; "experience is the best teacher". It actually depends on the context, it could be either positive or negative. Negatively one would learn from their mistake which would be seen as a bad experience, but if it was a good thing that occurred one would learn also from having a good experience.

My own experience taught me a skill that my brain can never forget, I always believed the skill was innate but now that I think about it I have come to understand that the skill I acquired was as a result of years of experience. Mind you this experience wasn't hands on, I had nobody to tell me and show me what to do I just watched and everything I believed I needed to know was being registered in my subconscious as the experience was continuous.

Where did you learn how to drive!? My mom exclaimed when I got behind the wheel of her car and drove her like someone who had years of experience being a driver. At the time I was just turning seventeen and I have never attempted driving before so how did I know what to do? Little did I know that I was subconsciously learning through the experience of watching my Dad drive and to say this started from when I was much more younger than seventeen. And we don't always get to drive around with him but on special occasions when we had certain events to attend at Rivers State, Abuja or when we visited our relatives at Edo State my Dad would drive those long distances and unknown to me my eyes were glued to everything he was doing to make the car move. Family road trip experiences were my driving lessons.

So on that very day I drove without fear, without any driving lessons and without guidance and till this date the skill remains with me. This has taught me how amazing the learning abilities of the human brain is connected with the eyes, now I understand what it means to watch and learn.
