Something extraordinary happened at school, something never seen before. It was a Monday morning, a routine Monday like any other, but in the blink of an eye, all the students had forgotten their knowledge, they had forgotten what they had learned.
The math teacher was the first to notice. She asked them to add, and no one remembered what 2+2 was. She asked them to multiply, and no one even knew the word "multiply."
In history class, the teacher nearly lost his mustache from the shock. Someone asked if Christopher Columbus was a soccer player.
In science class, the students forgot about photosynthesis and mixed chalk and water to make a volcano.
The principal could only say:
"Surprise quiz!"
But then he discovered he had forgotten how to turn on the printer.
