Looking for a comfy place to chill or work while enjoying a good cup of coffee and being surrounded by cute cats? Then this coffee shop in Yogyakarta called Teduh Coffee is definitely for you. I’m a regular here whenever I visit Yogyakarta. Located slightly tucked away in a quiet rice-field area, the café is perfect for those seeking a calm, peaceful, and nature-filled ambiance. This vibe really resonates with me.

Once you step inside, you will be greeted not only by the staff but also by their “assistants”—a bunch of cute cats roaming around the place. Such a great way to instantly lift your mood, right?

The layout of the place makes great use of natural light, with large windows and thoughtfully arranged tables. There is also a long communal table equipped with plenty of electrical outlets, making it an ideal spot for remote workers and freelancers. The space is quite spacious and is divided into two areas: indoor and outdoor. Where else can you relax or work while being surrounded by cute cats and a lush, green view? Even if you come alone and feel like having some company at the table, some of the cats are kind enough to keep you company—definitely a lovely way to brighten your day.

I don’t come here every day, but I always make sure to visit whenever I’m in Yogyakarta, which is every three to six months. Each time I come, the cats are always different. I haven’t figured out whether the cats are the owner’s personal collection or if they simply have a wide variety of cats. However, since the cats are always changing, it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back—I’m always curious about which cute cats they’ll have this time, and it gives the place a dynamic vibe as well.

The coffee here is quite good. My favorite is their signature menu called “Kopiko.” At times, they also serve seasonal beans. For those who prefer drinks other than coffee, they offer a selection of tea as well. So far, that’s what I can say about this place. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy good coffee and adorable cats, be sure to visit this place when you’re in Yogyakarta ;-)
