Years have passed like leaves in the wind
but her gaze is my eternal nourishment.
I stood before him in illusion,
as the sun peeps out at dawn.
Stripping myself at last of yesterday's shadows,
I bared my sighs, my essence on his skin.
I bathed in dreams of a distant day,
where love still holds her hand.
Perfumes of roses, honey and enchantment,
clothed my soul and my chest with so much.
With my laughter broken, and my heart open,
I gave myself in an instant, to the love that is true.
No matter the calendar, the passage of time,
love cannot be measured, it can be felt in the wind.
So, with the fragrance of a sunrise,
I bathed in her laughter, I let myself be reborn.
