A pixel art animation of switch for lights. Last time I created an animation of an automatic door for the library. Today, I made a pixel art of switch. Showing the on and off animation of lights. The design of the switch is inspired with the circuit breakers. Not the typical switch that we usually see inside our home.

To show the on and off effect. I created two shades for the background. One darker shade for the OFF and a lighter shade for the ON option.

Here is a little process behind the switch animation.

Creating the outline of the main switch by using the rectangle tool.

Adding the main lever for the switch and also the other details like the screws.

Coloring the main lever, to easily distinguish it during the animation.

Since the switch is in the shade of white. I started on the darker background. This will help me see it easily while editing it.

Adding details like shadings and shadows.

Here is the lighter background for the ON option.

And here is the darker background with the lever adjusted at the bottom position. This indicates that the power is turned off.
