Plunging into Reuleut Timu, Community Service Program Students Focus on Early Childhood Education Programs
Group 22 of Malikussaleh University's Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) students conducted community service activities in the field of education for children from Tunas Harapan Kindergarten (TK) in Reuleut Timu Village, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency, Indonesia.
This activity demonstrates the students' commitment to early childhood education and supports the learning process at the school.
During the program, the KKN students assisted the children in their learning activities by introducing them to letters, numbers, and colors through various creative activities tailored to their age. The learning process was packaged with a playful learning concept, such as drawing, singing, and educational games, creating a more lively and enjoyable classroom atmosphere.
The head of the KKN group, Makmur Erfansyah, stated that this activity aims to foster children's interest in learning from an early age and assist educators in creating a more conducive learning environment. According to him, a fun learning approach is crucial to supporting children's development.
"We strive to create a comfortable learning environment so that children can more easily understand the material and feel at home at school," said Makmur in a written statement on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
In addition to participating in learning activities, the Community Service Program (KKN) students also cleaned the school environment, both inside the classrooms and in the kindergarten yard. These activities were carried out to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable learning environment for the children.
The Tunas Harapan Kindergarten in Gampong Reuleut Timu welcomed the KKN students and appreciated their contribution. They hoped the activities would have a positive impact, not only on the children's development, but also on the cleanliness and comfort of the school environment.
Separately, the Rector of Malikussaleh University, Prof. Dr. Herman Fithra, Asean Eng., stated that the KKN theme was adapted to the conditions in Aceh, which had recently been hit by floods, and focused on the villages surrounding the Malikussaleh University campus.
"By going to flood-stricken locations, the community can directly experience the benefits of the Community Service Program, in addition to the role of students who volunteer during the recovery period," said the Chancellor.[]
