A slide into town.
So, I'm back in sunny Ecuador and have so much photos to go through - besides all the other stuff that my paying work requires, plus the daughter, plus the girlfriend, plus the friends - life, you know. 5 weeks of not being here doesn't make the world stop, everything keeps rolling and now I have to catch up. Luckily, I'm full of energy and with that huge smile all over my face. And going through the pictures is a real pleasure.
Today I went through some that I took for my friend @socraticmthd. His novel "The Man with the Luminous Eyes" takes place in a land where snow is omnipresent, and it has never been different - or has it? It's a hard boiled detective novel, so B/W photos make sense.
These pictures are from the first day of heavy snow. I went into town when it had just started snowing, and by the time I arrived, it was all white. I haven't driven on snow in at least 13 years, so it was quite the adventure. I was a adequately more careful, and still almost bumped into someone. Almost.
I took a picture and send it to my friend, and he was like "Wow, that would be perfect for the ride up to the villa!" So I took a few more. And they do work very well in B/W, as there was not much light that day, anyway.
Watch your hands

You can see the tracks of a Mini-Van having some fun in that curve. Nothing that I could do. But they used the hand break to slide around on the way. Funny to watch, but I'm glad I wasn't inside it.

Where are the ducks?
Almost no change necessary to make it B/W.

Turn off the lights.

As always, any feedback and especially tips and tricks are very welcome! As long as it's not AI generated content or comment spamming... 😅
Thank you for stopping by!
All pictures are taken by myself with a Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I reserve the copyright - but you're welcome to ask if you'd like to use one of the pics!
