Una práctica breve en la Torre de Sal Rosa, Ibiza

Hace unos días me fui a meditar al pie de la famosa torre, que siempre tiene su puerta cerrada, al menos a la hora que yo voy. A los pies De la Torre he visto lunas, he hech sesiones de psicología online con mi terapeuta, he meditado y he grabado videos. Y su puerta siempre cerrada.

Pensé que se trataba de una puerta que jamás se abría.

Hace unas semanas cuando fui, vi a un hombre sentado allí. Estaba en silencio, solo, en una silla.

Extendí mi colchoneta para empezar la meditación, y cuando cerré los ojos, me di cuenta que había visto la puerta abierta, pero estaba tan en mi mundo y en mis pensamientos que no paran, que la ignoré, y caí en la cuenta de ello cuando me detuve, literalmente.

Me giré y me acerqué al señor para preguntarle si podía subir a meditar allí 10 minutos.

Me dijo: “te he visto, y dije bueno, no querrá subir, aquí suben personas a meditar hasta horas”.

Me di cuenta que ya había estado esa oportunidad allí mismo, la puerta abierta, la posibilidad de meditar sobre la torre, y me sentí (y asumí) que muchas veces no veo lo que está clarísimo frente a mis ojos.

A brief practice at the Torre de Sal Rosa, Ibiza

A few days ago, I went to meditate at the foot of the famous tower, which always has its door closed, at least when I go there. At the foot of the tower, I have seen moons, had online psychology sessions with my therapist, meditated, and recorded videos. And its door is always closed.

I thought it was a door that never opened.

A few weeks ago, when I went there, I saw a man sitting there. He was silent, alone, in a chair.

I spread out my mat to begin meditating, and when I closed my eyes, I realized that I had seen the door open, but I was so caught up in my own world and my nonstop thoughts that I ignored it, and I only realized it when I stopped, literally.

I turned around and approached the man to ask him if I could go up and meditate there for 10 minutes.

He said, “I saw you, and I said, well, you don't want to go up there, people go up there to meditate for hours.”

I realized that I had already had that opportunity right there, the open door, the possibility of meditating on the tower, and I felt (and assumed) that many times I don't see what is crystal clear in front of my eyes.

No lo dudé un solo segundo, era mi oportunidad y la tomé. Arriba De la Torre grabé algunos videos para Hive, haciendo una práctica que es arte. No quiero hablar en esta entrega, sino que quiero compartir el movimiento, desde lo que Yoga es para mi: sanación en movimiento.

Es en la conexión con mi cuerpo, en el fluir de las diferentes asanas, en el intento de enfocarme y de mejorar esa sensación que ofrece cada postura, donde mi mente se calma.

Soy una persona ansiosa, lo cual no es incompatible con Yoga, aunque parezca que sí. Soy una persona como cualquier otra, solo que tengo ansiedad y medito, y hago Yoga. Y en ese movimiento es donde mi mente se relaja, deja de pensar, de planear, de analizar.

Y es esto lo que les acerco hoy.

I didn't hesitate for a second; it was my chance, and I took it. At the top of the tower, I recorded some videos for Hive, practicing what is art. I don't want to talk in this post, but rather share the movement, from what yoga is for me: healing in motion.

It is in the connection with my body, in the flow of the different asanas, in the attempt to focus and improve that sensation that each posture offers, where my mind calms down.

I am an anxious person, which is not incompatible with yoga, even though it may seem so. I am a person like any other, except that I have anxiety and I meditate, and I do yoga. And it is in that movement that my mind relaxes, stops thinking, planning, analyzing.
