Hi, Internet folks, how's it going? I recently went to a restaurant in my city that I really liked. It's called Frida, named after Frida Kahlo, and the concept is Mexican.

The first thing I noticed was the decor—it’s very Mexican, but far from rustic; instead, it’s elegant and really beautiful. The bar area has a sign that says “cantina,” and they serve spirits and drinks like tequila, mezcal, etc.

In this case, I ordered beef tacos, which came with pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, and beans

The service is quite good—very attentive and efficient—but the waiter who served us, while not bad at all, was a bit pushy; that is, he kept asking if everything was okay, if we wanted more drinks, if we wanted photos, etc.

It’s not that big of a deal, let’s say, but it’s not a good idea to be too pushy, since you might end up making the customer uncomfortable. It’s best to keep an eye on the customer and only approach them if they call you over.

Getting back to the tacos, the “flour” tortillas (made from wheat flour) are served in a beautiful bamboo basket lined with a cloth, which helps keep them warm. The sautéed meat with onions and red and green bell peppers is served on a hot iron tray placed on top of a wooden one, which keeps the meat warm as you serve yourself tacos to your liking, adding whatever toppings you want. In my case, I chose to add pico de gallo and guacamole.

I ended up eating six tacos. The flavors were incredible, and most of the food isn't spicy, though you can add spice if you like, and some dishes are intentionally spicy for fans of authentic Mexican cuisine.

I really had a great time—it's a really nice place with delicious food.
