Easy process of making a long camisole to complement your transparent lace outfit
Hello beautiful people
It's a new dawn, a new day, new week, new month and new year, I'm so glad to be here again after a successful year 2025, i want to appreciate you all for your love, support, comment, encouragement and kind words to my blog, i believe and know that this year shall be full of fun as i will be sharing with you beautiful creativity from my sewing room, sit back and enjoy the ride with me this year.
Today, i will be sharing with you the making of this simple red camisole i made for my sister's friend for her transparent lace outfit
Last year, i was contacted by my sister's friend that i will be making some outfit for her and her children after we had concluded on what to make, she came with some red fabric which was specifically for an event they were to attend at the end of the year, then, i decided to start with hers by cutting and sewing the camisole first since it's the simplest among the outfit i will be making.
Camisole is one simple inner which is a much have if you have any transparent outfit you want to wear, it helps to cover the body and gives the outfit a beautiful look, it can be a small one just from the shoulder to the waist or hip line while the longer ones can be from the knee line to full length measurement. This very one i made is from the shoulder line to the full length measurement which is some inches above the ankle measurements.
I was given just 45 x 60" of red satin to make tge inner and it was folded in 4 as i Mark the sholder measurements and armhole circumference, then the bust, waist and hip circumference measurements divide by 4 plus ease and sewing allowance.
The neck width and depth were marked with the neck depth of 7" for the front and back so as to prevent it from showing above the main outfit the the front and back were sewn together at the sholder and both sides with the side seam allowance.
I took a red bias tape to pipe the neckline round as well as the armhole circumference to give it a neat finishing. The hem of the camisole was folded in and i made 10" opening on both sides for easy movement when walking.
This is the simple and final outcome of the camisole i made for my sister's friend.
Stay connected as i will be sharing more beautiful outfit and creativity with you.
Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement, until my next post. Do have a great and productive week.
