Yesterday's update from the Splinterlands team released a feature I've been waiting for, and likely a large portion of the community has been waiting for: it's now possible to burn SPS rewards to get a 100% GLINT bonus. Given the current value of the governance token, I believe many users will decide to burn SPS, especially large stakeholders who can only benefit from burning the token.

Reducing the SPS supply is a long-standing community goal. Unfortunately, the flywheel only proved sufficient for a certain period, when DEC reached its peg. But months have passed since the last major SPS burn. Now things might start to move again.

GLINT is currently a token with multiple use cases, unlike SPS, unfortunately, and sacrificing my daily rewards is something I'm happy to accept. In fact, I need to increase my GLINT tokens if I want to complete the Soulbound card pool, develop my avatar, and make purchases in the dedicated store. So I immediately agreed to activate the burning SPS option, and we'll see how many decide to do the same. From the LEADERBORD leaderboard, I've already noticed some large stakeholders who have started burning thousands of tokens in just a few hours. A great idea, indeed! Kudos to the team!

L'aggiornamento di ieri da parte del team di Splinterlands ha rilasciato una funzione molto attesa da parte mia e probabilmente anche da buona parte della comunità: adesso è possibile bruciare le rewards SPS per ottenere un bonus del 100% GLINT. Complice il valore attuale del governance token, io credo che saranno molti gli utenti che decideranno di bruciare SPS soprattutto i grandi stakeholders che dal burning del token possono ottenere solo vantaggi.

Ridurre la supply di SPS è un obiettivo che da tempo ormai la comunità si è posto. Il flywheel purtroppo si è dimostrato sufficiente solo per un determinato periodo, quando il DEC ha raggiunto il suo peg. Ma sono trascorsi ormai mesi dall'ultimo grande burning di SPS. Ora le cose potrebbero iniziare nuovamente a muoversi.

Attualmente GLINT è un token con molteplici casi d'uso, diversamente ahimè da SPS, e sacrificare le mie ricompense quotidiane è qualcosa che accetto ben volentieri. Infatti, io ho necessità d'incrementare i token GLINT se voglio completare l'asset di carte Soulbound, sviluppare il mio avatar e fare acquisti nel negozio dedicato. Per cui ho subito accettato di attivare l'opzione burning SPS e vedremo quanti decideranno di fare lo stesso. Dalla classifica LEADERBORD ho già notato alcuni grande stakeholders che hanno iniziato a bruciare migliaia di tokens in poche ore. Una grande idea, davvero! Complimenti al team!
