Let’s face it, so many of us spend most of our time just waiting around for something in our life to happen. That is usually, a doors to open, a miracle phone call, someone in charge to finally look at you or break through, or something external that will show us now is the time for the success we've been daydreaming of for years. Well I did all these things previously while I was eating noodles for eleven straight days thinking the opportunity I wanted was about to come in and it didn’t.

What drove me to do things like leave my jobs and finally get organised was not motivation, inspiration, a great motivational podcast or pep talk. It was being uncomfortable, no spiritual epiphany necessary.

When you're sitting there and you feel completely uncomfortable, are you refusing to let this continue, but not in an obvious way. Just simply saying to myself, no more of this. That's when I realised I had closed a door I didn't even know was still open.

And that moment of quitting is undervalued, we focus on motivation, vision boards, and desperately chasing mentors but the truth is you'll be taking real action when you give up where you presently are because you have no choice, getting away from something is what primarily drives most of us. That right moment I thought would come was not a time, but was me realizing that it will never come.
