Sun is a big thing. They say its diameter is 109 times that of Earth. That gets to around 1.39 million kilometers. I said they say as I haven't been there :) On the photo below we can see how small can sun be. Effect of the photography. That is another reason why I like it so much. It allows you to play with big things.
