Immunity Booster drink
A Nourishing Winter Drink Recipe for Good Health
Hello friends! Today, I’m excited to share a delicious and healthy drink recipe that I’ve crafted with love. Inspired by my Hive family and their amazing drink ideas, this recipe is perfect for boosting your immunity and keeping you healthy during the colder months. Let’s dive right into it!
Ingredients
Milk - 1 glass
Almonds - 9 to 10
Cashews - 9 to 10
Dried Dates - 3
Coconut - small piece
Chironji seeds - 1tbsp
Makhana (fox nuts) 15,20
Jaggery - small piece
Dry ginger powder (sonth) - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Ghee (1 tsp, optional)
Method
Roast the Dry Ingredients
Begin by dry-roasting almonds, cashews, and makhana until they are slightly golden and aromatic. Let them cool down completely.
Grind into a Fine Powder
Combine the roasted almonds, cashews, coconut, makhana, and dry ginger powder in a grinder. Blend into a fine powder.
Cook the Drink
Pour one glass of milk into a pan. Add the prepared powder, turmeric, and jaggery. Stir well and bring it to a boil. ( i used organic jaggery so I added it in with powder. For regular jaggry mix it once the milk has cooled down slightly. Otherwise, the milk may curdle.)
Simmer
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. If you’d like, add a teaspoon of ghee for extra richness.
Serve Warm
Your nutritious and delicious drink is ready to serve!
Health Benefits
Boosts immunity and protects against colds and coughs.
Improves skin texture, making it radiant and healthy.
Strengthens hair, making it shinier and stronger.
Fortifies bones and enhances overall strength.
Special Notes
For Pregnant Women: Skip the dry ginger powder and replace jaggery with honey or sugar.
For Summer: Omit the dry ginger powder and make it with honey or sugar for a cooling version of this drink.
Enjoy this wholesome drink and let it work wonders for your health and vitality. Don’t forget to share your feedback if you try it out!
