Almost Orange
We visited a stunning restaurant called “Almost Orange” nestled in the heart of Hartbeespoort. It’s located on a beautiful orange farm that almost makes you feel like you’re in Florence, Italy.

Almost Orange is a hidden gem that offers a unique and enchanting dining experience. As you drive through the scenic landscapes offerent, the restaurant emerges like a vibrant oasis, promising a memorable culinary journey.
The name "Almost Orange" evokes a sense of warmth and vibrancy, and the restaurant lives up to this expectation in every way. The ambiance is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. With its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the serene Hartbeespoort Dam, dining here feels like a retreat into nature.
The restaurant's décor is inspired by the rich hues of the African sunset, with warm tones and tasteful touches that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating area, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers, is particularly charming. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while basking in the beauty of nature.
The menu at Almost Orange is a celebration of fresh, local ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. The chefs take pride in crafting dishes that are not only delicious but also visually stunning.
Whether you're a fan of traditional South African cuisine or looking to try something new, there is something for everyone.
Start your meal with a selection of appetizers that showcase the best of local flavours. The main attraction are their boards, offering multiple different types of boards and tastes. We decided to go with two different types, a more mediterranean one and a meat board.
We ended off our meal with a trio of deserts including home-made cheesecake, a dark chocolate tart and creme brulee. All were absolutely fabulous and I highly recommend a visit here.

Good to be here now that I am travelling again.
Almost Orange looks so gorgeous, I love the decor, and that food is to die for, so beautifully presented!
I still have to get to visit Hartebeespoort Dam. Guests of ours who live there invited us to stay with them.
Nice photography Eden!
Thank you Lizelle - you really should take them up on that offer. Hartebeespoort Dam is really worth visiting. Thank you for the compliment on my photographs
