My wife loves pizza, and today I decided to indulge her. After leaving church, we thought about eating tapioca, but the place we usually go to was closed. So we decided to change our plans and eat pizza, which was great for me, since I hadn't had any in a long time.

We went to one of the best pizzerias in town and ordered a large pizza, half shrimp, half ribs, our favorite flavors. Eating pizza once in a while is delicious, but often it ends up being a problem. After all, no body can handle so much indulgence.

I always say that eating is one of the most important moments of the day, because it brings people together. It is at the table that we are able to stop, reflect, share ideas, and talk with those we love. A powerful example of this is Jesus, who before he died, gathered his twelve disciples for the Last Supper. It was a sacred moment, in which he gave his final instructions. This shows how meaningful the act of eating together in communion is.

That's why I make a point of not using my cell phone while I'm at the table, and I usually encourage those with me to do the same. Leave watching videos or replying to messages for later. And that's exactly how we lived this moment today, putting away our cell phones and chatting in a light and relaxed way about our plans and the things that happened. What do you think about this? Minha esposa é apaixonada por pizza, e hoje resolvi atender aos seus caprichos. Depois que saímos da igreja, pensamos em comer uma tapioca, mas o local que costumávamos frequentar estava fechado. Sempre digo que a alimentação é um dos momentos mais importantes do dia, pois ela une as pessoas. É à mesa que conseguimos parar, refletir, compartilhar ideias e conversar com quem amamos. Um exemplo forte disso é Jesus, que antes de morrer, reuniu os doze discípulos para a Última Ceia. Foi um momento sagrado, no qual Ele deu suas últimas instruções. Isso mostra como o ato de se alimentar, em comunhão, é significativo.

Por isso, faço questão de não usar o celular enquanto estou à mesa, e costumo incentivar quem está comigo a fazer o mesmo. Deixe para assistir vídeos ou responder mensagens depois. E foi exatamente assim que vivemos esse momento hoje, guardamos os celulares e conversamos de forma leve e descontraída sobre nossos planos e as coisas que aconteceram. E você o que acha disso?
