Deep in his chest, underneath all of those muscles beat the heart of a coward. Russell hid it well but he knew the truth. It didn't matter though. As a bouncer, his job was to stand outside the club looking mean. And to suppress that nervous smile that wanted to take over his face.

He scowled extra hard when he saw the boss passing and nodded a greeting in his direction. So far so good. But then he happened to look down and see a rat the size of a chihuahua. It darted over his foot and off into the distance before he could react.
