Is life fair?

We often ask ourselves this question if life is indeed fair to us all. I see what I want but can't have it mean while another has it but don't place any value on it so is life truly fair?

Even though my human instinct would want me to say life isn't fair which has an element of truth, I want to still say life is fair but sometimes we find ourselves in an unpleasant situation. It is not God's intention that we go through difficult times but trust me he is always there to help us even in the storm. I remember clearly how in highschool, I had beautiful plans for myself and I had said that I will immediately sit for my Jamb exam, become a graduate at this age and later settle with my prince charming running a successful business and making the world a better place. All these I had planned and more.

But life had its own plans for me. It wasn't easy to furthermore and so I had to stay back at home for a whole six years but did I give up? No I didn't. Today I am in school already pursuing my BACHELOR'S degree trusting God to lead me all the way through. Yes it was never as I planned it to be, delayed but not denied that's life. All the years at home, a lot happened but it made me a better and a strong woman I am today and would be tomorrow.

Sometimes I admire some people and wish I had what they have only to hear that these same people admire me and wish to have what I think isn't perfect for myself. Not once or twice have I heard people say I inspire them a lot so how fair is life.

My tutor told us a story of how she hated the way she looked and wished she looked like the most beautiful girl in her institute back then. Whenever she's close to the mirror, she never appreciated herself for once not until one day she was opportune to speak to this lady and from there they became close. Her beautiful friend had crises one time and that was when she realized that she is battling with a life threatening disease that money can't cure. Her parents are wealthy but their wealth can't afford what they need. It was a heart breaking moment for my tutor and that day she went home crying bitterly. Prayed to God to help her overcome low self esteem. It wasn't easy but she gradually learned to love herself.

Lastly, when it seems that life has cheated us in so many ways, never let it overwhelm you rather stand up and make something meaningful out of your remaining self, striving to breakout in this dark world. There is light at the end of the tunnel don't forget.

I also made sure to carry out my cleaning routine as usual and this is my cleanplanet activity for today.
