Esta es la segunda cima que conquisto en el Cerro El Morro de la ciudad de Lechería y veo cómo, gracias a mis caminatas, voy ganando más confianza cada día y me atrevo a llegar más lejos, a pesar del cansancio físico.

Subir este cerro implica el ir más allá de la cima principal, lo cual solo me hace recordar cómo la vida te pone caminos empinados que eliges tomar o no. Tú irás eligiendo cómo abordarlo y hasta dónde llegar en ese camino. Puede que te sientas cansado y quieras parar aun cuando estés cada vez más cerca de conquistar una nueva cima.

This is the second peak I’ve conquered on Cerro El Morro in the city of Lechería, and I can see how, thanks to my hikes, I’m gaining more confidence every day and daring to go further, despite the physical exhaustion.

Climbing this hill means going beyond the main summit, which only reminds me of how life presents you with steep paths that you choose to take or not. You will decide how to tackle it and how far to go along that path. You may feel tired and want to stop even when you’re getting closer and closer to conquering a new summit.

Yo prefiero seguir caminando, subir, correr y llegar mucho más lejos cada vez; prefiero probar hasta dónde puedo llegar si me esfuerzo lo suficiente.

En esta ocasión subí la segunda cima del Cerro El Morro; para llegar allí hay que conquistar una colina más empinada, nada fácil, ¡pero sí se puede! En el camino hay árboles de jazmín y otros árboles en flor que alegran mi viaje, haciendo mucho más llevadero el cansancio físico.

I prefer to keep walking, climbing, running, and going much farther each time; I prefer to see how far I can go if I try hard enough.

This time I climbed the second peak of Cerro El Morro; to get there, you have to conquer a steeper hill—not easy, but it can be done! Along the way, there are jasmine trees and other flowering trees that brighten my journey, making the physical exhaustion much more bearable.

Al llegar a esta cima, la vista es aún más hermosa; vale la pena el cansancio y el respirar agitado que a veces me acompaña. Algunas imágenes que capto desde esta altura son incluso más pintorescas, pues se puede visualizar la virgen que adorna la primera colina y los atractivos colores que posee el piso de la caminería.

El sol de ese día parecía celebrar conmigo haber llegado a esta nueva cima. Observar el paisaje llena mi alma y hace que me sienta más fuerte y feliz.

When I reach this summit, the view is even more beautiful; it’s worth the exhaustion and the labored breathing that sometimes accompanies me. Some of the images I capture from this height are even more picturesque, as you can see the statue adorning the first hill and the vibrant colors of the trail.

The sun that day seemed to be celebrating with me that I had reached this new peak. Gazing at the landscape fills my soul and makes me feel stronger and happier.
