Last Month I drove by a big field of pumpkins in lower Austria. I was amazed how many pumpkins were growing there and took some pictures of the field. Back home I had to buy a pumpkin at the supermarket and I cooked some pumpkin soup just because I was really craving for it after several days seeing so many pumpkins lying around in the fields. Pumpkin soup is something I really only like during autumn and winter time. If you add a little bit of spice to the soup it is the perfect autumn and winter soup. Depending on the taste of the pumpkins I also like to have some potatoes mixed into the soup to get a little bit more texture and a taste that is milder.
