Several months ago, I met a friend from Mexico who is a great illustrator and has a very original lettering style.

I met this friend because a while ago, about six years ago, we had talked on Facebook since he had the same name as me, if we're talking about nicknames or a.k. a graffiti artist. And even though he is from Mexico and I am from Venezuela, this had to be resolved after exchanging a few words. Back then, he quickly explained to me that his name originally used the letter f for funeral and One simply because of its popularity, since his real name is Funeral Works. From there, we established that he would not write the name fone.

However, as I mentioned at the beginning, a few months ago we got in touch again because this friend's style is really very good, and we were talking about tattoos, designs, and graffiti.

At the end of a very good conversation, this friend decided to give me this digital design as a gift.

I find this style of lettering quite attractive and, above all, original, so I decided to use it as the cover for an upcoming release.

So, I took the original design and opened it in my image editor app, where I could use different filters and brushes to restore and redo some of the lines, adding a fisheye effect background to give it this dynamic result.
