What a lovely cat! We’re cat people and prefer them now nowadays to other animals!

Sadly our own cat is not in the best of health at the moment and has been to the vets. She has an internal growth and the vet advised, because of her age, to see how she gets on. He gave her the jabs she needed. She is getting around ok but every now and then, her back leg goes and she stumbles.

I have seen many with deep bonding with their pets. Me personally have none.

I do the same with mine. They are almost thirteen years old now and are in good health, but I try to spend as much time with them as I can and give them all the love I have. They make me very happy.

I think I already said this. But our favorite neighbor feeds cats and birds. The mother cat she fed has been gone for a while. So now our neighbor feeds that cat's kittens. Our neighbor thinks that humans may had poisoned or otherwise killed the mother cat. Humans can really be disgusting and scary creatures...

What an amazing combination: you are a very stern person (towards some people) and such love for a cat. I remembered A. Kuprin and the story about his cat Yu-Yu. I read it a few days ago. It is amazing how he noted the character and intelligence of the cat: even on the phone at the beginning of the 20th century, she recognized the voice of a loved one.

For the things that bring us happiness, there is no other way to show them what they mean in our lives by giving them constant attention, providing them with everything they need and giving them the best life possible.
The other thing I have always had as something positive in my life is to dedicate as much quality time as possible to the people, pets or things we love, but as long as they are alive. For me it is not worth crying after something we love dies or goes away.
I am sure Cleo feels your love and affection.

Wow that sounds familiar.

My little guy has health problems too where he will seizure if we don’t get him 14 pills per day. Not cheap either.

Besides that, he may be stoned all day but it gives me great happiness knowing he is probs my the happiest most active dog around.

Our connection to living things, especially pets that depend on us and are family, are about as core to our reason for being as far as I am concerned. Cuddle away!

I'm happy for you to have found such a connection. I cared for many animals throughout my life, sometimes better, sometimes not so good. Most of them were adopted from the streets, like my current cat, Nero. He doesn't sleep inside, just jumps through the open window in the morning to get some cuddling and then his food. He's a great cat, very clean, and very smart. When I was running the restaurant downstairs, he knew exactly where the limits there. The women who bought it off me are not as strict, and that rascal takes full advantage of that. But upstairs, in my apartment - he knows the rules.

Though I do care for him and paid several treatments in the last 4 years, I don't have the same strong attitude like you towards him. At least I think so, it wasn't really tested so far, the biggest bill was $150 when he had calcification in his bladder. I hope it never comes to it.

I always read about people's special bond with their cat or dog and it's so moving. I wish I could have that sort of relationship but I just can't get over the fact that I'm cuddling a living object that's not a human being, it just feels so odd

We miss our dog pretty much every day. It's the little things too that you think back about and they really hit you. Yu are lucky to have this time with your cat!

While reading this, I felt both joy and sadness at the same time loving deeply is beautiful, but it's also painful to think about the end. Thank you for the reminder to cherish every moment with the ones we love.

I have 2 cats too, this one I have grown her myself since the first day of her birth as her mum abandoned her, every night she comes and lays on my chest to sleep together, during the day often search cuddles... I understand you when you say you would do and spend anything for her care

I can't imagine my daughter going through this same situation.. she rescued a mother cat and now it has 2 sons (Loony and Luna).. then she rescued another stray cat, which she named (Benji).. They all seem healthy.. Whenever she's stressed with so much homework and activities at school, I would see her cuddling with Benji in the corner of her room and singing 😆..
and I agree, "The relationship between a human and pet is such a special bond" it's magical..
I believe Cleo is also having the best experience she could ever have with you.. She's so lucky to have you..

Cleo is beautiful and she knows it lol. We think we're taking care of our pets but in reality, they're taking care of us. I think they can read and register our moods before we know ourselves. I've always had a cat or dog, along with various farm animals and I believe life wouldn't be as interesting without them in the family. It really is sad that they have such short lifespans comparatively. For a longer life span pet, could go with a tortoise or parrot, but they don't cuddle as well😉
