Happy weekend fam. I myself have been away from my home, but i just took my kids to go see their grandparents. It a village though, but you know sometimes village life is kinda sweet. I missed my home sha, but I'm also enjoying my stay here. I will be joining in one of the weekend topic soon. Have a wonderful weekend.

Greetings @galenkp, I've been busy cleaning and organizing with my son. We'll be taking a break this weekend, and we also have plans to visit the museum. I liked Ulysses S. Grant's quote: "In abundance, there are many friends, but it's in adversity that you truly know who your true friends are."

You know what? It has happened to me that in my adversity my friends were there for me in some way, but in prosperity envy took hold of them. That's why I now value the latter more.

The topics are great, there are two that caught my attention because they immediately struck me.

Rest and visit beautiful places, even if you have to work in the mornings.

True friends are those who are always in your life, but they always show up when you need them and are there for you in adversity.
Being there for you when everything's going well, for parties and celebrations, doesn't make you a true friend.

Can we only "name" one user? There's so many I like, they all deserve a mention and shout out so others will know how many good people there are on Hive.

If I would went blind overnight I would feel really horrible. I would not be able to see the faces of people important to me. I would not be able to make art. I would not be able to watch basketball/ anime/ TV series.

Time to dust up my 87 pages tractate about the evolution of rules and why they're awesome! Would be interesting to re visit this topic, I had written a post about it in response to a post that your brother wrote, around 6 months back I think. But since then, many conversations within and outside of Hive had me develop a lot more ideas and pushed me forward in my reasoning, so I think I can approach it from a different angle. If I see that I can't, I'll do another topic.

Anyway, lots to do this weekend. Jam session tonight, tomorrow morning I have to get to Lily's school for a minga (every family comes and we clean and repair and such things), and then there's a Chili Cookoff in the afternoon. Sunday Lily wants to play with a friend. Monday school starts again.
