[English] When I decided to register for a China-based creator’s competition that featured only Nigeria.

It took me days of doubts, worries, skill assessments, and so much more to decide whether to join in or not.

The brand in question needed 3 Nigerian creators for a project at hand. They required good creators for the contract. And so I went through the requirements: the first stage, the second, and the third.

The final stage seemed even more frightening. I was sad.

In my head, I wanted to contest and win. That was going to be my second content submission and trust me, I wanted the tag, “award-winning…” to my portfolio.

Do you think it doesn't count?

Try getting to that perceived stage of authority in your field and tell me… Honestly, people love to see results. People love to see you as competent with a profound Proof Of Work and I don't blame them.

Let's take a step backward.

I was full of doubts. Did I think I can do it? Yes. Then what was the problem?

Well, we were talking about over 200 creators (if I am not mistaken) contesting and just 3 winners to emerge. To crown the matter, a considerable percentage of the creators were skilled in Web3.

Phew!

On the other hand, I had little to no knowledge of Web3. I again, evaluated, analyzed, thought, and what more?

Finally, I told myself to not bother about attempting.

The next day, I woke up with this jump-on-it spirit. Something in me wasn't ready to quit yet. You know that moment when you are so pumped for a task that you do not even wish to analyze the task but rather jump on it?

That has to be one of the ways to get things done before procrastination, doubts, and others come into the way.

Agreed?
Oh, well! It works for me. I don't know about you.

Immediately, I called my fellow content guy, and we went on to shoot at a green field inside the school.
I hurriedly edited the video and made my submission.

At that point, I said to myself, “Even if I do not win or proceed to stage two, I am proud of myself for at least attempting”.

Look at this:
“What if I fail?”
“What if I succeed?”

Since both questions were only assumptions, I had nothing to lose whether I failed or won.

So there! I furthered.

The three stages of the competition were all dated. About a week or less for each stage. Everything was programmed.

Afterward, I waited for the proposed result day and boom, my submission was right there. “This is happening? Right?” I questioned myself in doubt and utmost surprise.

Sometimes, it isn’t that we aren't competent enough but our feeling of “I am still not equipped enough” that impedes our progress.

Fill our timelines with fear and, pushing our minds to look down on the power of success.

Will push too many things forward when the time is now and not then.

Having known how what the power of procrastination can do to a well meaningful and productive heart stoop to conquer my fear.

Never allow the things we really cannot explain to take the better part of what you can vividly explain to yourself.

No matter how tough it is, you deserve to compete. Failure to compete with greater opportunities, means stagnant.

All these are the driving force that should keep me going.

I woke up in that same spirit when I didn't have something in mind to write, and I was scrabbling about what to write in my writing room today.

Nothing was coming into my mind presently, after sitting and stirring at my note pad. I thought it wise to share again what the power of doubts comes with.

In everything you do see competition as a very strategy driving force.

This does not mean in the traditional understanding of snitching on people's business.

But see everyone, every opportunity as it is yours, and attempt to get your products displayed.

That's the only we, you see business to be something profitable.

What about the loses, who bear that for you? The success and failures both matters!

It evaluates and gives an entrepreneur a spouse to validate their marketing presence.

Learn to go through the all round market challenges, no matter how many people that sells the same products.

Your idea stands you out, everyone cannot win, but if you don't attain that business summit you will be the one who would lose that potential business partner.

Because you feel your design, ad, strategies are not worth it. There is no limit to the theory selling business motivation.

[Spanish]Cuando decidí inscribirme en una competencia para creadores con sede en China, que estaba dirigida únicamente a Nigeria.

Me tomó días de dudas, preocupaciones, evaluaciones de habilidades y mucho más decidir si participar o no.

La marca en cuestión necesitaba 3 creadores nigerianos para un proyecto específico. Requerían buenos creadores para el contrato. Así que revisé los requisitos: la primera etapa, la segunda y la tercera.

La etapa final parecía aún más aterradora. Me sentí triste.

En mi mente, quería competir y ganar. Esa iba a ser mi segunda presentación de contenido y, créeme, quería tener la etiqueta de “ganador de premios…” en mi portafolio.

¿Crees que eso no cuenta?

Intenta llegar a ese nivel percibido de autoridad en tu campo y dime… Honestamente, a la gente le encanta ver resultados. A la gente le gusta verte como alguien competente, con una sólida Prueba de Trabajo, y no los culpo.

Demos un paso atrás.

Estaba lleno de dudas. ¿Pensaba que podía hacerlo? Sí. Entonces, ¿cuál era el problema?

Bueno, estábamos hablando de más de 200 creadores (si no me equivoco) compitiendo y solo 3 ganadores. Para colmo, un porcentaje considerable de los creadores tenían habilidades en Web3.

¡Uf!

Por otro lado, yo tenía poco o ningún conocimiento de Web3. De nuevo, evalué, analicé, pensé, ¿y qué más?

Finalmente, me dije a mí mismo que no valía la pena intentarlo.

Al día siguiente, desperté con ese espíritu de “lánzate ya”. Algo en mí no estaba listo para rendirse todavía. ¿Conoces ese momento en el que estás tan motivado para una tarea que ni siquiera quieres analizarla, solo lanzarte a ella?

Esa tiene que ser una de las maneras de hacer las cosas antes de que la procrastinación, las dudas y demás se interpongan.

¿De acuerdo?
¡Bueno! A mí me funciona. No sé tú.

Inmediatamente, llamé a mi compañero de contenido y fuimos a grabar en un campo verde dentro de la escuela.
Edité rápidamente el video e hice mi presentación.

En ese momento, me dije a mí mismo: “Incluso si no gano o no paso a la segunda etapa, estoy orgulloso de mí por al menos haberlo intentado”.

Mira esto:
“¿Y si fracaso?”
“¿Y si tengo éxito?”

Ya que ambas preguntas eran solo suposiciones, no tenía nada que perder, ya sea que fracasara o ganara.

Así que allí seguí adelante.

Las tres etapas del concurso tenían fechas específicas. Aproximadamente una semana o menos para cada etapa. Todo estaba programado.

Después, esperé el día propuesto para los resultados y ¡boom!, mi presentación estaba allí. “¿Esto está pasando? ¿En serio?”, me pregunté con duda y gran sorpresa.

A veces, no es que no seamos lo suficientemente competentes, sino ese sentimiento de “aún no estoy lo suficientemente preparado” lo que impide nuestro progreso.

Llenamos nuestras líneas de tiempo con miedo y empujamos nuestras mentes a subestimar el poder del éxito.

Empujaremos demasiadas cosas hacia el futuro cuando el momento es ahora y no después.

Sabiendo lo que el poder de la procrastinación puede hacerle a un corazón significativo y productivo, me incliné para conquistar mi miedo.

Nunca permitas que las cosas que realmente no puedes explicar se apoderen de lo que sí puedes explicarte claramente.

No importa cuán difícil sea, mereces competir. No competir por grandes oportunidades significa estancamiento.

Todas estas son las fuerzas impulsoras que deberían mantenerme en movimiento.

Desperté con ese mismo espíritu cuando no tenía nada en mente para escribir, y andaba rebuscando sobre qué escribir hoy en mi sala de escritura.

Nada venía a mi mente en ese momento, después de sentarme y mirar fijamente mi libreta. Pensé que era sabio compartir de nuevo lo que conlleva el poder de la duda.

En todo lo que hagas, ve la competencia como una verdadera fuerza estratégica impulsora.

Esto no significa en el sentido tradicional de entrometerse en los negocios de los demás.

Sino que veas a todos y cada oportunidad como si fueran tuyos, e intentes mostrar tus productos.

Esa es la única forma en que verás los negocios como algo rentable.

¿Y las pérdidas? ¿Quién las asume por ti? ¡El éxito y el fracaso, ambos importan!

Evalúan y le dan al emprendedor una base para validar su presencia en el mercado.

Aprende a afrontar todos los retos del mercado, sin importar cuántas personas vendan el mismo producto.

Tu idea es lo que te diferencia; no todos pueden ganar, pero si no alcanzas esa cumbre empresarial, serás tú quien pierda a ese socio potencial.

Porque piensas que tu diseño, anuncio o estrategia no valen la pena. No hay límite para la teoría de la motivación de ventas.
