Conversación con mi hijo
Hijo,
Fui culpable.
La patria me dolia en su cólera,
reabsorbiéndome
No entendí nada, juro que no entendí nada.
Salir en caravana y gritar eufóricamente
(¡ pinpon fuera abajo la gusanera !)
Fue mi juego preferido
Madre pavorosa ordenaba:
no éramos ni hipócritas ni honestos;
Fuimos ignorantes
Eres feliz has vivido sereno
No entristezcas
I'm not going to impress you with rabbits
under my hat,
nor with showers of stars that I carry on my back.
Forgive me for the long silence
when with your childish soul you said:
Mom, take me to meet the snow,
to play with children from other countries,
I was guilty.
The homeland hurt me in its anger,
reabsorbing me
I didn't understand anything, I swear I didn't understand anything.
To go out in a caravan and shout euphorically
(pinpon out down the wormhole!)
It was my favorite game
Mother dreadful commanded:
Eggs, eggs, against the disaffected.
I hated, like dried fruit of blackened trunk
and with my friends I danced around the bonfire.
My son, I was unaware that they were our friends.
Father was wrong
We were neither hypocrites nor honest;
We were ignorant
You are happy you have lived serene
Don't be sad
I don't know snow either.
This poem is by me and is published in my fourth book "Duermo en paz porque canto" (I sleep in peace because I sing) The work is by visual artist José Vázquez Xenez.
