Yo siempre fui y aún soy una persona intensa, apasionada, entregada y en ocasiones desmesurada, lo cuál me ha llevado a vivir varias sitiaciones negativas en mi vida y me ha colocado, desde que comenzaron estos rasgos, en una posición vulnerable ante los ataques de intensidad proyectiva. Además me situó en una especie de tablero de ajedrez(soy muy malo en ajedrez) contra la intensidad en el que he estado obligado a buscar caminos y estrategias para doblegarla.

¿He ganado la partida?

No, aún no.

Pero sigo en ella, no he cesado en la búsqueda de alternativas para ganarla, he perdido incontables partidas ante tal contrincante pero siempre regreso al inicio y trazo otra estrategia.

De eso se trata no rendirse, aprender, crecer, luchar...mejorar. ¿Cierto?

Siempre he tenido la tendencia de anticiparme a los problemas, de vivirlos antes que sucedan, de sufrirlos sin que me hayan golpeado, de hacer predicciones negativas sobre la base de cálculos, pensamientos pesimistas y negatividad ante la adversidad.

En estos casos la intensidad que he proyectado me derrumba y me hunde en un círculo vicioso de callejones sin salida que terminan en depresión y en resquebrajamiento de voluntad que me imposibilita seguir adelante y que además me ha convertido en una muy mala y quejumbrosa compañía que, una vez que miro en retrospectiva, no la desearía ni yo a mi lado.

Problemas siempre habrá.

Hace algunos días ocurrió algo que estubo a punto de desatar una situación similar en mi estado de ánimo y con mi pie izquierdo justo al borde del abismo de la ansiedad, depresión, mal humor y sufrimiento, recibí un golpe de sobriedad, una persoectiva diferente, una reflexión autosanativa a partir de palabras que había escuchado en muchas ocasiones anteriores ya, palabras sabias, consteuctivas y cariñosas a las que quizás nunca le presté la debida atención.

Fue ahí donde comencé a ver el tablero de ajederez con mucha mayor claridad desde un ángulo diferente en el que soy quien ataca y no quien se defiende, fue ahí donde realmente supe que soy mi mejor amigo y mi peor enemigo(que debe ser desterrado), fue ahí donde comencé a tomar riendas de la intensidad y redirigirla hacia donde la necesite, no a donde ella me quiera llevar. Yo soy el dueño de mi mismo y ella no puede poseerme, no soy su marioneta.

El positivismo puede hacer la diferencia.

Y por ahí comencé, por positivisar mi mente, por acorralar el flujo de mis pensamientos y redirigirlo hacia la positividad que necesito y no puedo perder de ninguna manera, a convertirla en energía y aprovecharla al máximo.

Y no voy a perder.

Y con la convicción de que adelante está la solución, de que no me puedo permitir lamentos ante las adversidades, de que no puedo permitirme la lastima por mis desgracias, de que problemas siempre puede haber, que con quejas no se resuelven y de que cada problema es una oportunidad de mejora y superación, de que la fuerza está dentro de mi y que yo soy mi fuerza y mi apoyo ante todo, comencé con buen pie está partida que estoy convencido que será la última.

No es fácil.

¿Qué mérito tendría si lo fuera?

It has taken me a long time and many setbacks to deal with intensity.

Mastering it is another matter.

Truly, intensity in personality, as I see it, is a powerful weapon that, channeled appropriately, can constitute an incredible source of impulsive energy that helps us, facilitates us, and allows us to achieve many of our goals, perhaps all those we set or propose.

On the other hand, there are negative aspects to intensity, especially when it is not controlled and manifests itself in an uncontrolled manner.

All excesses are bad.

And life, like everything that requires effort, is a long endurance race in which if we do not optimally manage our energies and allow the intensity in our projection to take the reins, we will surely not make it to the end.

I always was and still am an intense, passionate, dedicated, and sometimes excessive person, which has led me to experience several negative situations in my life. Life has placed me, ever since these traits began, in a vulnerable position to attacks of projective intensity. It's also placed me on a sort of chessboard (I'm very bad at chess) against intensity, where I've been forced to seek ways and strategies to overcome it.

Have I won the game?

No, not yet.

But I'm still at it, I haven't stopped searching for ways to win. I've lost countless games against this opponent, but I always go back to the beginning and devise another strategy.

That's what it's all about: not giving up, learning, growing, fighting... improving. Right?

I've always had a tendency to anticipate problems, to experience them before they happen, to suffer them without being hit, to make negative predictions based on calculations, pessimistic thoughts, and negativity in the face of adversity.

In these cases, the intensity I've projected breaks me down and plunges me into a vicious cycle of dead ends that end in depression and a broken will that makes it impossible for me to move forward and that has also turned me into a very bad and whiny companion who, looking back, I wouldn't even want at my side.

There will always be problems.

A few days ago, something happened that almost triggered a similar situation in my mood, with my left foot right on the edge of the abyss of anxiety, depression, bad mood, and I received a stroke of sobriety, a different perspective, a self-healing reflection based on words I had heard on many previous occasions, wise, constructive, and loving words that I perhaps never paid due attention to.

It was there that I began to see the chessboard much more clearly from a different angle, one in which I am the one attacking, not the one defending. It was there that I truly knew that I am my best friend and my worst enemy (who must be banished). It was there that I began to take control of the intensity and redirect it where I need it, not where it wants to take me. I am the master of myself, and it cannot possess me; I am not its puppet.

Positivity can make a difference.

And that's where I began, by positivizing my mind, by corralling the flow of my thoughts and redirecting it toward the positivity I need and cannot lose under any circumstances, to turn it into energy and make the most of it.

And I'm not going to lose.

And with the conviction that the solution lies ahead, that I can't afford to lament in the face of adversity, that I can't afford to feel sorry for my misfortunes, that there are always problems, that complaining can't solve them, and that every problem is an opportunity for improvement and overcoming challenges, that strength lies within me, and that I am my strength and my support above all else, I started off on the right foot in this game, which I'm convinced will be my last.

It's not easy.

What credit would there be if it were?
