Our Simple Teacher's Day Celebration at School
Hello my dear Hivers of the @aseanhive community. Hope you're all doing well and safe.
Today I want to share to you how our teachers day celebration at school went.
October 3, 2025 was the date of our school-based teachers day. It was not extravagant like in the other schools. It was actually a joint mass induction, recognition and teacher's day celebration.
Many things happened during that day. In the morning the mass induction and first quarter convocation was done.
The hosts were two learners from the grade 6. We were amazed as to how properly planned their scripts were. Even without enough training the pupils made it through the days hosting gig.
During the mass induction all the learners elected from the different subject areas and different clubs like the choir, sports, SELG, YES-O were inducted. It was followed by the induction of Classroom officers and Homeroom Parent Teachers Association (HRPTA) officers. They were all participative during the event.
After the induction, the program proceeded to the giving of awards to pupils who performed best during the first quarter of the school year. The learners received certificates based on the achievements they had
After the induction and convocation the food for each classroom was served. Each grade level prepared their lunch to be shared by everyone. Everyone had their share and ate happily.
In the afternoon, we celebrated our teacher's day. We first received words of appreciation from a pupil representative and from a parent representative. They were messages were heartfelt and made us feel valued and appreciated in our every effort.
I was the one who gave a response to their appreciation. I was so thankful for the words of gratitude we have heard from them.
We also had an intermission number through a dance presentation led by our school head.
Our thoughtful school head also gave us a teacher's day give away. It's like a pen holder. I like very much because it has my picture on it. It's really personalized for me. It shows how our school appreciates me and my co-teachers.
Each of us also received a certificate of appreciation from our school head again. He really though so much of the efforts we gave to teaching. We felt seen and appreciated. It speaks so much as to how we were valued as teachers.
We also had a parlor game. We played hep help horay! Which was so fun. My attention was really challengeed during that game. Sadly I lost in the second round, haha!
We also played the most underrated game, trip to Jerusalem. We danced while the music was on and stop to take a seat when the music is turned off. Sadly I also didn't win it, hahaha!
The most heartwarming for me was when our learners gave us their tokens of appreciation. It was not pricey, not even cost a single penny but it touched our hearts. Most of the things we received are flowers which came from the school also, lol! And of course the heartwarming letters. The letters looks crumpled but the messages were very genuine.
Even if most of it were not perfectly written, the messages were clear. Showing how they appreciate and thank us for teaching them.
Their gratitude and efforts put through the flowers and letters were like a torch to our calling. We are valued and that's more than enough for us, for me specially to keep going. It's a reminder that I'm doing good in this profession.
As the day went on, we also had our celebration extended to the kinder classroom. We had videoke time their. My husband got to sing also because he came earlier to fetch me.
Since the microphone should go to everyone, I also sang a song for everyone.
Our teacher's day is not grand. No manicure, pedicure services. No chocolates and cakes received. It was so simple but is equally memorable just like other school's teacher's day celebration.
Thank you for reading this far. Til my next post!
