We learn to walk with uncertainty...

Although it is not cured, since we are living in the era of total, global uncertainty and even less now, that the world is so convulsed and we believe that if we did not worry enough, the future would become clearer.
But the reality is different, anxiety only takes away the energy we need to live today. Sometimes it's better to feel bad for turning off and running away from the outside noise, from the world, even for a while.
Stopping being updated and reading news that fucks up our existence for quite a while definitely protects our mental and emotional health. In the almost three months that have passed of this year 2026 and being calm is an act of resistance.
I recently went to my monthly therapy because I've been feeling kind of overwhelmed by so much of the same news we all hear about what's going on in the world and it reminded me that no one has all the answers right now, that we're all somehow improvising, and that's okay. Because my only job, nowadays, is to take care of my emotional well-being.
To think that everything that happens speaks of a future that we do not know, and that does not give us security but the opposite. Besides, no.we can stop nothing that is happening in the world, but if we can control our day to day, our closest environment and everything that happens to us.
Our life is not defined by it, nor is it written in the daily headlines.
When I'm anxious or feeling restless, it's because my brain is sending me signals from the outside and inside noise, so I just stop, stop, get up, walk, drink water, hug my husband to feel safe.
I have also learned that in the midst of so much news in a historical world context, there is nothing usual I can choose as to conduct myself within it, and cultivate in moments of high uncertainty true resilience, to maintain hope, be well, and continue building my path despite the loud noise that there is.
Sometimes the greatest act of self-love is letting go. Stop forcing answers, allow everyone to be where they choose and accept what is, without trying to change it. Peace does not always come by doing more, it often comes when we choose not to react and take care of our calm. Only I can control my peace, and I am not going to give it away, nor am I going to negotiate it with any newspaper headline.
In life you have to be serious and take care of your words, a minimum of dignity, honorability and coherence is necessary. In fact, we cannot change what is happening, but we can do the best for our well-being with what happened. Therefore, we have to have responsibility and not watch so much news. The lived and learned experiences lead us to growth.

4 commentsI was having this same conversation with my friend this week. We have to chill out from all the news, it's just been 3 months but a WHOLE lot has gone down. It can get overwhelming real quick and that's why I curate the type of content I feed myself.
That's right, these first three months of the year begin with a panorama in our country Venezuela and worldwide that make us shudder with the news, however in the midst of so much uncertainty, we are lights learning to understand our own shadows.
Global uncertainty is indeed surging, and I guess it's nothing to be taken lightly. But whatever it takes, we need to be brave and resilient to survive.
Many times uncertainty disappears in the small moments that we return to ourselves: a quiet night, a good book, a sincere laugh, a moment of calm where everything feels in order. For me, that's real wealth.
Nice day 🎼
