PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 118 | A saline and arid landscape
Often, we tend to value only the beauty of the splendid, the majestic, the sumptuous. Somehow, marginal, modest, simple landscapes, where beauty is not the consecration of a kind of perfect ideal, are underestimated.
Personally, I have always been attracted to the beauty of the pedestrian, the ordinary, the dilapidated, even the ugly. From Victor Hugo and Baudelaire, to Umberto Eco, through much of the history of contemporary painting, we have learned to appreciate beauty in its most diverse and irregular presentations.
Here I share with you one of those manifestations, through some photos taken a few weeks ago in the Araya Peninsula (Sucre, Venezuela), where we can observe that stream of water coming from the sea that will go to feed the salt lagoons, natural and human wonder that makes possible that essential element of our life: salt.
Thank you for your attention.

We often forget that true beauty isn't just found in perfection or order but in the simple details that carry depth and a sense of humanity.

Saludos.
