MWM|| CROCHETED CACTUS 🌵🌵
Hello, hello my dear NeedleWorkMonday crafters, I hope you are well and I wish you a week full of blessings. Today I am back in the community to show you a new crochet project. This time I want to tell you the story behind this beautiful project.
As most of you know, it has been almost a year since I returned to my country with my husband and children; many things have happened since then, and although I am very happy to be back, it is inevitable to miss some things from the country that welcomed us and sheltered us for 4 years. It has not been easy for my children to readapt to our new reality, especially for my youngest daughter, who misses many things. One of those things are her beloved cactus, which we had to leave behind because it is not allowed to travel with plants. That's why I decided to crochet some small cactus for her to have in her room.
My daughter is very fond of cacti and succulents and although we have much more space to grow them in this house, she has not felt very motivated to dedicate herself to it, because she always remembers her old cacti that she named and cared for with a lot of dedication. However, I'm waiting until she has a vacation from school to encourage her to get back to growing her favorite plants. In the meantime, I knitted her these little cacti that are very similar to the first ones we bought in Peru.
It is the first time I make woven cactus and I must say that I liked it very much, I would love to continue learning to make different types, since there is a great variety of cactus species. I really enjoyed the creative process and the best of all is that I was able to bring a smile to my dear daughter's face.
I hope you liked my project today, thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
