It is 7 p.m., and I am still out here selling my products—cold mambo ice. The weather is not on my side tonight. The rain is pouring steadily, and the air is chilly. It's not the kind of evening when people crave a frozen treat. Still, I stand here in front of a minimarket, hoping someone will stop by. My goal is to sell 100 pieces a day, but today, I haven’t even come close.

Despite the weather and the slow evening, I remind myself why I keep going. Every day brings its own struggle, and today’s is the rain. I watch as only a few people walk by, most rushing to get out of the cold. They barely glance in my direction. But I know I can’t let discouragement take over. This is my business, and persistence is key.

Luckily, there is a silver lining. Earlier today, I received an order for 50 pieces for tomorrow. That message gave me a boost of hope. Even if today is slow, tomorrow holds promise. It’s not always about immediate success—sometimes it’s about planting seeds and waiting for them to grow.

Standing out here each evening has become part of my routine. Some days are good, some are not. But this is life. Selling mambo ice may seem simple, but behind it lies resilience, patience, and dreams of something greater.

So, even as the rain continues to fall and the night grows colder, I stay. I may not reach my target today, but I hold on to hope. And hope, in the end, is what keeps me moving forward.
