Self worth and boundaries
One thing I’ve come to understand about our world and sometimes the people in it—
is that you can do everything right, pour out kindness, sacrifice your comfort, and even hurt yourself trying to please others, yet still be invisible. You stand by people through thick and thin, face sickness, hardship, and silent battles, and no one truly notices or checks in. But the moment something bad happens, or death enters the picture, the same people who couldn’t call or show up will be the first to post it online, broadcasting the news as if they were ever present.
This has taught me an important lesson: do not destroy yourself trying to earn love, validation, or recognition from people. Live, give, and care—but do it with wisdom and boundaries. Show up for others, yes, but never at the expense of your health, peace, or life. At the end of the day, protect your heart, value yourself, and remember that your worth is not measured by how loudly people acknowledge you, but by the life you choose to live and the peace you keep.
