Good morning, my dear friends in the #Hive community! Happy Wednesday and happy midweek to everyone reading this. Your friend Manuel here is super happy to share a new artistic post for my blog. This time, I'm here to share an illustration I've been working on over the last week. It's a representation focused on the game played by my dear friends in the #Splinterlands community, more specifically the card or character of (Tenyii Striker), who basically belongs to a tribe that was forged through generations of conflict, becoming fierce and silent warriors, experts in the sword and spear, who were offered as tribute to the Chaos Legion.

I hope you like my idea for this illustration, and I will leave the process of how I made it below:

Muy buenos días mi querida gente de la comunidad de #Hive, feliz miércoles y feliz mitad de semana para todos los que se encuentran por aquí leyéndome en esta ocasión, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión les vengo a compartir una ilustración en la cual estuve trabajando durante la última semana, se trata de una representación enfocada en el juego de mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de #Splinterlands, mas concretamente en la carta o el personaje de (Tenyii Striker), el cual básicamente Pertenece a una tribu la cual se forjó a través de generaciones de conflictos, convirtiéndose en guerreros feroces y silenciosos, expertos en la espada y la lanza, que fueron ofrecidos como tributo a la Chaos Legion.

Espero les guste mucho mi idea para esta ilustración y les dejare aquí abajo el proceso de como la realice:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I began by constructing my main sketch, giving Tenyii Striker some shape and structure. In this case, as the character is a swordsman warrior, I tried to adopt a pose in keeping with what one would expect of him. I drew him in a guard position, drawing his large sword from its sheath while looking to one side, where imminent danger appears to be approaching. Once I finished my sketch, I continued by applying the base colours for my character. During this first stage, I built the skin using slightly more saturated tones, choosing a couple of salmon tones for the base. then with slightly redder tones I created the normal shadows and occlusion shadows, and with yellowish tones I formed what would be the lights and details of the ambient light with the help of the watercolour brush.

Inicie construyendo mi boceto principal dándole un poco de forma y estructura a (Tenyii Striker), en este caso al tratarse del personaje de un guerrero espadachín trate de adoptar una pose acorde a lo que se esperaría de él, lo dibuje como en guarda sacado su gran espada de su estuche mientras mira hacia un lado de él, donde aparentemente se acerca un peligro inminente. Una vez finalice el proceso de mi boceto continúe con la aplicación de los colores base para mi personaje, durante esta primera etapa construí la piel utilizando tonalidades un poco mas saturadas, elegí un par de tonos salmones para la base, luego con tonos un poco mas rojizos cree las sombras normales y sombras de oclusión, y con tonos amarillentos forme lo que serian las luces y detalles de brillos de la luz ambiental con ayuda del pincel acuarela.

For the second stage, I focused on giving some expression to the face of (Tenyii Striker). To do this, I painted slightly narrowed eyes to convey a bit of seriousness for my character. Then, using brown colours, I created and detailed the inner part of the eyes, adding shadows from the upper eyelids, as well as a little shine around the edges of the eyes. To create this character's hair, I had to use a range of purple tones that I had on my palette and hadn't used in a long time. I started with a dark purple base, creating the hair as if it were pulled back. In the case of hair and eyebrows, I always start with a flat base and finish with a bristle brush.

Para la 2da etapa me dedique a darle un poco de expresión al rostro de (Tenyii Striker), para ello pinte unos ojos un poco entrecerrados para transmitir un poco de seriedad para mi personaje, luego con colores marrones fui creando y detallando la parte interna de los ojos, agregando sombras provenientes de los parpados superiores, así como un poco de brillo en los bordes de los ojos. Para la creación del cabello de este personaje tuve que hacer uso de una gama de tonos morados que tenia en mi paleta y que hacia tiempo no utilizaba, primero partí por una base de morado oscuro creando el cabello como recogido hacia atrás, en el caso del cabello y cejas siempre inicio con una base plana, y culminar con el pincel de cerdas.

In the third stage, I continued with what would be the construction of the clothing. As a base, I used shades between purples and opaque reds to create a base suit with a slightly thick but rough texture. Then, using shades of blue, grey, and off-white, I built the armour that would cover the character's torso, shoulders, and forearms. To do this, I used my watercolour brush as a base, and then my square-tipped brush to improve the volume a little and give it the final finish before starting to add the shiny details that would give the metal a realistic look. Finally, I built what would be the sword that (Tenyii Striker) is trying to pull out of its sheath. For the base of the sword and the hilt, I used yellow tones and gradually scaled subtly towards orange tones, achieving a gold-like appearance.

En la 3ra etapa proseguí con lo que seria la construcción de la ropa, como base utilice tonos entre morados y rojos opacos para crear una traje base con textura un poco gruesa pero rugosa a la vez; luego con tonos azules, grises y blancos no tan puros fui construyendo la armadura que cubriría la zona del torso, hombros y antebrazos del personaje, para ello use mi pincel de acuarela como base, y luego mi pincel de punta cuadrada para ir mejorando un poco el volumen y darle el acabado final antes de empezar a colocar los detalles de brillos que le darían realismo al metal. Ya para finalizar construí lo que seria la espada que (Tenyii Striker) esta tratando de sacar de su funda, para la base de la espada y la empuñadura use tonos amarillos y poco a poco escale sutilmente hacia los tonos naranjas logrando una apariencia como de oro.
