The Newlyweds Square
For today's Wednesday Walk challenge, I'm not revealing a new place to you, I'm back in a Novi Sad .
Novi sad means new garden, I don't think I translated the name of Novi Sad for you.
So now I use a translator, but I have a hard time translating our local word into English.
In our language, the plural of the phrase bride and groom is mladenci . ( The Newlyweds )
I had to go to the bank and it's located near the city center on the Mladenci Square.
Nice place, nice square, only as always we have a problem with parking
That's why I leave my car at my work and come by public transport
It's easier for me, I lose less time than looking for parking for half an hour or more
Novi Sad Cathedral or the Church of the Assumption of Mary, that is, the main square, is not far from here.
There is the Pupin Hotel, named after our scientist, and that's where Railway Street begins.
Just before the Mladenci square is the Main Post Office in Novi Sad.
And that's where the railway street begins
All of this belongs to the old city center and there is mostly old architecture everywhere. At the very beginning of Railway Street is the Mladenci Square.
There is a registrar's office in the building on the square, so newlyweds take their pictures here, and that's how this square got its name.
And just a few meters away is the Novi Sad Synagogue.
Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
