You know that feeling when you're waiting for something.
Winter has taken its toll on me, both literally and figuratively.
My plans have been moved to warmer weather
I even plan to leave the fruit that needs to be pruned for the first of March. In fact, my day is reduced to checking the weather forecast every morning with my coffee.
February is a colorful month with 2-3 warm days and 2-3 cold days.
You celebrated Saint Valentine's Day, we celebrate Saint Tryphon, the patron saint of winegrowers, on that day. And that's when the fruit pruning begins. But I gave up because we are threatened by severe frosts.
Do you prune your fruit trees?

Speaking of trees, the hazelnut tree was in bloom.I have one large tree and three small ones. You can grow hazelnuts as a bush or a tree.

And so while we wait for better weather we can't sit still. So my wife and I decided to sow potatoes and garlic.
Garlic can be sown because it can also be planted in the fall. But potatoes

Potatoes are a heat-loving plant and we watched some articles sowing them during this period so we decided to test it too. Cut the potatoes so that the piece retains a few sprouts. Soak the cut part in ash and sprinkle the ash in the row where the potatoes are going. Add manure between each potato. Cover the potatoes with soil, add hay over the soil and a little soil over the hay so that the wind does not lift it.

We don't know if it will work, it's our first time doing it, we can only hope that the hay will preserve the potatoes and that we will have young potatoes long before they are supposed to arrive.

Our cat and I regularly visit the entire garden to see if the frost has damaged the fruit trees, blackberries, raspberries. The garden itself has not yet been cultivated. I only did a small part of it with a tiller this fall.

Since it's not yet time for peppers and tomatoes . We're playing around with the other plants a bit .
The lettuce I wrote about last time has sprouted but the leaves are premature, it's not tasty so we gave up . We've sprouted a few okra
and we managed to sprout a date palm.And of course the lavender started off nicely
