Craft orchestra
I know this is not this month's theme, but it was a few months ago as you can see in this post by our hostess. At the time I made my modest contribution to the monthly theme, but going through my archives I found these images I took on my last trip to Varadero. I took them with the intention of bringing them here, but I had forgotten them in some folder.
On 59th and 1st streets in Varadero, there is a small art gallery. Several artists from the province of Matanzas and other localities exhibit and sell their creations there. There are some works of great artistic value, but most of them are handicrafts to be sold as souvenirs for tourists visiting the resort.

The collection that I "appropriated" to share with you is composed of several handcrafted musical instruments made of wood, which I found there. They are simple manufactures and have the name of Cuba written on them so that they perfectly serve their purpose of evoking memories.
The first piece that caught my attention was this little piano...I don't think those hands can get any notes out of its keys, but we can always use our imagination 😊.

Other stringed instruments were also as part of this orchestra. Some are difficult to identify due to....the creativity of the author 😉.

Looks like 🤔...a cello?---

Another instrument that many love, the "Saxophone", was also part of the collection. Although the real ones are made of brass, it is classified with a woodwind instruments. This version I present to you eliminates any confusion with its classification 😜.

And to the rhythm of the music of this small handmade orchestra from a corner of the most beautiful beach in Cuba, I say goodbye until the next collection.

11 commentsFor goodness sake! Love these works and collectibles!!!! The piano is beautiful with those little hands and the violin.... love the violin!!!! Plus I love the wood!!! Beautiful!💗
Hi Amonet, that kind of handicrafts is common to find them anywhere in CUba. I have seen them of very good workmanship and others.... not so much 🤭. This is a very musical island and those are good items to take as souvenirs. Un abrazo 🤗.
🤗🤗🤗
How beautiful these musical instruments are!! 😍
I can't decide what my favourite is (well, piano of course, but it is because I am biased by that instrument hahaha) as all are so, so nice! Perfect collection, I am glad you appropriated it hahaha. In two days, when I am in one place I will post here in the comments one photo that has a connection with something from here. Thank you very much for your contribution! 😇
El piano tambien es mi preferido, no por las mismas razones que tú...obviamente jajajajaja. Estaré esperando esa foto 😊. Un abrazo.
Wow, how wonderful these creations, a beautiful job what these artists did, the color, the finishes, the hands playing those instruments, well, you can't hear music, but you can feel it haha ❤️
At first I thought it was a violin, but from the placement of the hands I suspect it's a cello, although it's too small to be one, anyway it was my favorite one haha 😍
Love these sculptures, music goes everywhere! ❤️
Yesss, the shape of the instrument you like creates some confusion 😆, but no matter...it's very nice 😉. Gracias por pasar y comentar. Saludos 💚.
These wooden instruments/souvenirs look so cool! On the other side, those hands look a bit weird, but they gave some special "note" (no pun intended 😃) to them...
How big were the instruments? It's hard to imagine the size of them... As if they are smaller than 10-15 cm, carving wood in that size is very hard!

The hands are really weird 😂🤣🤣, especially the right one on the piano, it looks like the palm is facing upwards 😆...I didn't want to write it in the post because it might seem disrespectful to someone, but the truth is that they look very, veeery weird 🤭.
They are not so small, measuring between 25 and 30 cm, the Saxo is the largest, approximately 50 cm high. Lindo miércoles.
Hahahaha... That hand looks like a bad AI work that you can find when people have 6 fingers or some other weirdness.. 😂
Oh, that's a nice size... Were they for sale? It could be a nice gift...
Yes, they were all for sale, although at that moment we entered the shop the price and the author of the musical crafts were a "mystery" 🤣. The person who was guarding the premises did not know, it was early Sunday morning and the person in charge of the sale at the gallery had not yet arrived.
