Fresh from Our Own
We went back to my wife's hometown for almost a week. One of the things we did there was fishing, and we managed to catch some fish. Today, my wife cooked a few of the fish we caught last week. She also picked some cassava leaves from our own backyard and made a sambal with chili and calamansi lime, all freshly harvested from our garden. For me, nothing beats this kind of meal—everything is fresh, caught with our own hands, and grown from our own efforts.
