Hola amigos ❤️ Espero hayan tenido unas bonitas fiestas navideñas, aprovecho para desearles un Feliz 2025 llenito de muchas bendiciones.
La semana pasada fue una combinación de bastante frío y lluvia en la Isla, cosa que no me desagrada, más bien agradezco porque casi nunca pasa, salí poco, pero ayer me tocó hacer unas compras, se me hizo tarde y no tenía nada preparado en casa, así que fuimos a "Mike Pollo", una cadena de restaurantes que comenzó con este pequeño local y ya tiene tres sucursales más, me sorprendió lo rápido que han crecido. Durante el día ofrecen almuerzos tipo ejecutivo, también tienen hamburguesas y por supuesto lo que los hace destacar: pollo, parrillas y Pikadas.

Tenía antojo de pollo asado que es mi favorito, pero solo tenían a la broaster, así que pedí un combo que traía 1/2 ración de pollo (7 piezas), con una porción de papas fritas, 20 arepitas y guasacaca, ésto fue suficiente para mi hijo y para mí, lo acompañamos con refresco de un litro.

No había mucha gente en las mesas, pero el servicio de delivery si estaba movido, los repartidores pasaron varias veces a recoger los pedidos, así que tuvimos que esperar unos 30 minutos, tiempo en que empecé a impacientarme porque hacía mucho frío dentro del local, afuera el clima estaba lluvioso, el aire acondicionado se sentía bastante y en una oportunidad no había tenido una buena experiencia con el tiempo de espera, así que pensé en llevarlo para no pasar más frío, pero justo cuando estaba a punto de hablar con la chica de la caja para decirle que me lo llevaría, llegó nuestro pollo a la mesa, así que decidimos quedarnos y comer más rápido de lo habitual para volver pronto a casa.

El pollo estuvo jugoso,sabroso y bien cocido, las papas fritas muy crujientes y las arepitas recién hechas 😋

Hello friends ❤️ I hope you had a nice Christmas holiday, I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy 2025 filled with many blessings.
Last week was a combination of cold and rainy weather on the island, which I don't dislike, I'm thankful because it almost never happens, I didn't go out much, but yesterday I had to do some shopping, it was late and I didn't have anything prepared at home, so we went to "Mike Pollo", a chain of restaurants that started with this small place and already has three more branches, I was surprised how fast they have grown. During the day they offer executive lunches, they also have burgers and of course what makes them stand out: chicken, grills and Pikadas.

I had a craving for grilled chicken which is my favourite, but they only had broaster, so I ordered a combo that had 1/2 portion of chicken (7 pieces), with a portion of fries, 20 arepitas and guasacaca, this was enough for my son and me, we accompanied it with a litre soda.

There were not many people at the tables, but the delivery service was busy, the delivery drivers came by several times to pick up the orders, so we had to wait for about 30 minutes, time in which I started to get impatient because it was very cold inside the restaurant, outside the weather was rainy, the air-conditioning felt quite cold and once I had not had a good experience with the waiting time, so I thought about taking it to avoid being cold anymore, but just when I was about to talk to the girl at the cashier to tell her that I would take it, our chicken arrived at the table, so we decided to stay and eat faster than usual to go back home soon.

The chicken was juicy, tasty and well cooked, the fries were very crispy and the arepitas were freshly made 😋
