Cebu is a tiny island that is situated in the central part of the Philippines and is considered to be complete of breathtaking scenes, colorful culture and warmness. During one of my personal trips, I decided to go to a mountainous place in Cebu that would give me a great view and a cool swimming pool. It was not only a refreshing journey but I also got some memories which I will never forget.

By going out at an early hour in the morning the sun was fresh and was of golden hue on the green vegetation of Cebu. The mountain region visit was supposed to be connected to the expectations. Winding lanes and the high scowls and flowers were a beautiful background. I started to look around and I started to grow increasingly excited, excited to know what was in my sight at the top. And now had I been taken out in the cold air of the mountain which made my senses the fresher. The chirping of the birds, and the falling of the leaves in the soft wind, provided me with the sound of the cow Symphony of nature, which instantly made me calm down. I could already make out the outline of the swimming pool cut in the middle of the mountains gleaming with the sun like a jewel.

First of all I went to the swimming pool, and sat down. As soon as I entered the water all my anxieties were washed. It was too gorgeous in a panoramic view with the mountains and the valleys that covered the pool to form a heavenly oasis. I would look up and see the sky with fluffy clouds passing by my back as I was floating on my back. Everything was bliss and the clock appeared to stop. I also chose to lap in the pool to make it even more enjoyable by having the cool water touch my body. I found myself in touch with the nature after every push and I could not stop smiling at the beauty that surrounded me. The water was still and the scene very spectacular that I thought I was dreaming.

I did not feel like abandoning the pool and leaving without visiting the hiking trails that went through the mountains. On a mission I slipped on my hiking shoes. The paths were well marked and of different degrees of difficulty and thus available to all. In my walk, I heard a lot of lively plants and animals and butterflies flew around me and birds sang in air. The point at which one reached to have a glimpse of the valley below formed the climax of the hike. It was quite an impressive picture. The green hills were wiped out of view, and I could hardly look past the trees that could be discerned in the form of villages. I proceeded to take a picture of the scenery with my camera but no picture would have portrayed any kind of justice to the sheer beauty of the scenery.

When the sun started setting, and captured the sky of the color of the orange and pink, I went back to the pool and took one more step in it. I sat on the edge of the seat, and had my feet suspended above the water, when I began to ponder over what had taken place during the day. This hide out mountain had given me some of the beautiful scenery and a feeling of peace and unity with the nature. This is an adventure that I would not overlook in the world that can be intoxicated with the mayhem as it would put me at the back seat and relax and enjoy the beauty in the world. I went out of Cebu with an immense grateful heart and a revived spirit and I am not opposed to share my experience with people.

It was not only the break out of mine, I have also realized myself and my appreciation of the natural world as I visited Cebu mountainous location. The picturesque and the peaceful pool of swimming was the correct setting to be considerate and to take a rest. I wish we all should find our own discoveries as we are at the time when we can fully know ourselves.
