Talvez o momento mais tranquilo do ano seja uma manhã de domingo de Carnaval. E sinceramente? Até a feira estava mais silenciosa hoje. Estava movimentada, mas não tanto quanto nas outras vezes. As pessoas estavam calmas, uma calma estranha para essa feira que acontece aqui todos os domingos.

Já virou rotina eu sair todos os domingos pela manhã e vir aqui à feira comprar legumes, frutas e etc., mas hoje decidi passar pela “rua das bugigangas”. Para que você entenda melhor, a avenida tem um rio cortando os dois lados. Cada lado é um sentido do trânsito, que fica fechado aos domingos de manhã para a feira. Do lado direito ficam as frutas, verduras e alimentos de modo geral, e do lado esquerdo ficam as bugigangas.

Aqui desse lado se acha de tudo. Assim, “achar” é uma palavra forte, mas, se você for bom em procurar, seja lá o que for, aqui deve ter. Chega a ser engraçada a quantidade de coisas, das mais aleatórias possíveis, que se encontra por aqui.

Neste post de hoje, tirei mais fotos da parte das bugigangas e, sei lá, a extensão aqui deve ter uns dois quilômetros, e eu percorri tudo isso hoje, já que estava mais calmo. Não comprei nada, apenas fui contemplar um pouco do puro suco de uma cidade mineira quase carioca.

Perhaps the quietest moment of the year is a Carnival Sunday morning. And honestly? Even the street market felt quieter today. It was busy, but not as much as on other days. People were calm, a strange kind of calm for a market that takes place here every Sunday.

It has already become a routine for me to go out every Sunday morning and come here to the market to buy vegetables, fruits, and so on, but today I decided to walk through the “trinket street.” So you can understand it better, the avenue has a river running between its two sides. Each side is a traffic lane, which is closed on Sunday mornings for the market. On the right side you find fruits, vegetables, and food in general, and on the left side are the trinkets.

On this side, you can find everything. Well, “find” might be a strong word, but if you are good at searching, whatever it is, you will probably find it here. It is almost funny how many things, the most random ones possible, can be found around here.

In today’s post, I took more photos of the trinket section and, honestly, this place must stretch for about two kilometers, and I walked through all of it today, since it was calmer. I didn’t buy anything, I just went to contemplate a little of the pure essence of a Minas Gerais city with a touch of Rio.
