Hola que tal, soy nuevo en esta plataforma, y siempre me ha fascinado el terror, hoy me aventuro a compartir con uds algunas historias que basada en experiencias durante la soledad, las oscuridad y la imaginacion,la mente toma las riendas para plasmar en papel esta Historia...

Espero sea la primera de muchas y sobre todo, que sea de su agrado... eso es lo mas importante...

Un Ruido Extraño...

Carlos, llamado con cariño "Carlitos", y su hermana María, "Mari", eran inseparables. entre los 2 siempre se habian llevado muy bien. Entre un escandalo de gritos, llantos la voz de Carlos llevaba tiempo suplicaba a su madre que lo dejara quedarse solo en casa, como todo adolescente que busca demostrar que ya no es un niño. Su madre, firme como una roca, aunque siempre se negaba. En este escenario no tuvo más opción que acceder. Carlos ya tenía 14 años, y las circunstancias la obligaban.

Todo ocurrió porque su hermanita se cortó la mano con un cuchillo muy filoso mientras jugaba a cortarle la cola a una de sus muñecas. El cuchillo, que su madre había dejado por descuido sobre la mesa mientras preparaba la cena, terminó causando el accidente. Entre gritos de dolor y sangre, la urgencia se impuso.

Su madre, desesperada, dejó todo en orden: números de emergencia, celulares cargados, instrucciones claras. Como madre soltera, solía contar con la abuela Rosa para estas cosas, pero la pobre ya no estaba bien.

Tosía mucho y con sus 87 años encima, ya no podía con el trajín de cuidar niños. Carlos, que en los últimos días había ayudado a darle los medicamentos, aprovechó ese momento para convencerla: él podía quedarse con la abuela.

—¡Yo puedo con esto, mamá! Anda tranquila, lleva a Mari al hospital —dijo con plena seguridad.

Mientras su madre repetía por enésima vez las instrucciones, Carlos no podía evitar sonreír. Se sentía como todo un hombre de la casa. Por fin.

Vio el auto alejarse a toda velocidad. Cerró la puerta con llave, puso el candado y pasó el picaporte como su madre le enseñó. Todo bajo control. Fue al cuarto de la abuela para asegurarse de que estuviera bien. Al abrir la puerta, la encontró profundamente dormida, pero el chirrido de la madera al moverse la despertó.

—¿Qué pasa? —preguntó la abuela con voz ronca.

—Nada, abuela, solo vine a ver si estabas bien. Mamá fue al hospital con Mari, pero no es grave. Yo me quedé para cuidarte —dijo con una sonrisa.

—Vaya, vaya… Todo un hombrecito a cargo —respondió la abuela entre risas ahogadas—. Está bien, pero despiértame ante cualquier cosa, ¿de acuerdo?

—Entendido —asintió Carlos, cerrando la puerta con cuidado.

Se acomodó en el sillón y puso caricaturas en la televisión. Una hora después, cuando ya se le había ido la noción del tiempo, escuchó un ruido seco proveniente del fondo del pasillo, justo donde estaba el cuarto de su abuela. Era un sonido húmedo, lo había oído antes, cuando su madre picaba carne y la estrellaba contra la tabla de madera.

El pasillo estaba oscuro.

La lluvia comenzó de pronto, como si el cielo hubiera decidido desplomarse de golpe. El ruido era tan intenso que hasta la televisión quedó opacada.

Carlos sabía lo que venía: cada vez que llovía así, se iba la luz. Y efectivamente, un relámpago iluminó la calle y, al instante, la casa quedó en tinieblas.

El corazón de Carlos latía con fuerza. Escuchó el ruido por segunda vez. El mismo golpe sordo y húmedo. Se le heló la sangre. Algo no estaba bien.

¿Y si la abuela se había caído? —fue lo primero que penso.

Se levantó del sillón, temblando, y caminó hacia el botiquín donde su madre había dejado el celular de emergencias y una linterna. Tomó ambos, pero no había señal. Calleron unas leves gotas de sus ojos y nariz en la pantalla del movil, comenzó a sollozar. En ese momento, el ruido se repitió por tercera vez.

Exaltado iluminó con la linterna el pasillo oscuro.

Entonces lo vio.

Una silueta alargada, como un hombre delgado alto, se deslizó velozmente hacia el cuarto de la abuela. Carlos cayó de rodillas, paralizado por el miedo. Se ocultó tras el sillón y apuntó con la linterna hacia el pasillo. Entonces, algo se movió.

Una mano. Larga, delgada, huesuda. Se arrastraba lentamente por el suelo, como si quisiera salir del cuarto… pero retrocedía al ver la luz. Carlos, mudo, dejó que las lágrimas corrieran sin hacer ruido. No podía moverse. No podía gritar.

Fue entonces cuando del cuarto salió una figura.

Carlos gritó con todas sus fuerzas, pero se detuvo al instante. Era su abuela, cubriéndose los ojos por la luz. Sintió un alivio inmediato. La abrazó, diciéndole cuánto miedo había tenido y la ayudo a llegar y sentarse en el sillon de la sala.

—¿Estás bien, abuela? —dijo Carlos algo confundido.

Ella sonrió, pero no dijo nada. Luego, con voz suave, respondió:

—Hice demasiado esfuerzo viniendo hasta aca amor. Pero mejor me quedo aqui y descanso…

—¿Quieres que traiga la silla? —preguntó Carlos con ternura.

Ella solo asintió en silencio.

Carlos tomó la linterna, aún con el corazón acelerado, y caminó hacia el cuarto. En su mente se reía de sí mismo por dejarse asustar por la oscuridad. “Tan grande ya, casi quince”, pensó. Pero justo al llegar a la puerta entreabierta, escuchó nuevamente el golpe.

El sonido de carne cayendo al suelo.

Carlos se quedó paralizado. Escuchó algo más.

Una voz.

—Carlitos… Carlitos…

Era la voz de su abuela. Venía desde dentro del cuarto casi.

Carlos se quedo petrificado unos segundos y poco a poco Miró hacia atrás. La abuela seguía sentada en el sillón, mirando hacia el televisor sin moverse.

Una vez mas escucho:

—Carlitos… Carlitos… se escuchaba agonizante, casi como un hadeo...

miro la puerta sin atreverse abrirla y decidio nuevamente volver la mirada a la sala, pero ahora su abuela lo miraba fijamente… con la cabeza completamente girada hacia él. Y en su rostro… una mueca horrible, algo que intentaba parecer una sonrisa, pero no lo era.

Carlos gritó y empujó la puerta.

Dentro, sobre el suelo, estaba el cuerpo de la abuela Rosa. Cubierto de heridas, mordidas… sangre por todas partes. No podía moverse, apenas respiraba.

Carlos ahora entendió.

El sonido.

Todo tenía sentido.

Su abuela había estado allí todo el tiempo.

La cosa en la sala no era ella.

De pronto, la abuela agonizante abrió los ojos con terror.

—¡Atrás! —susurró con esfuerzo.

Él se giró. Pero ya era demasiado tarde.

La puerta se cerró con fuerza.

La lluvia caia con furia, tan intensa que nadie podría haber oido sus gritos.

Pero algo sí se escuchaba apenas perceptible.

Un golpe sordo.

Húmedo.

Como cuando estrellas la carne contra el madero de picar

Carlos, affectionately called “Carlitos,” and his sister María, “Mari,” were inseparable. Carlos had been begging his mother for a while to let him stay home alone—like any teenager eager to prove he was no longer a child. His mother, firm as a rock, always refused. But that afternoon, she had no choice. Carlos was already 14, and the situation forced her to give in.

It all happened because his little sister cut her hand with a very sharp knife while pretending to cut the tail off one of her dolls. The knife, which their mother had carelessly left on the table while preparing dinner, ended up causing the accident. With screams of pain and blood everywhere, urgency took over.

Their desperate mother made sure everything was in place: emergency numbers, charged phones, clear instructions. As a single mother, she usually relied on Grandma Rosa for help, but the poor woman wasn’t well anymore. She coughed a lot and, at 87, could no longer keep up with babysitting. Carlos, who had recently been helping give her medicine, used the opportunity to convince his mother: he could stay with Grandma.

“I can handle this, Mom! Go ahead, take Mari to the hospital,” he said with rare confidence.

As his mother repeated the instructions for the umpteenth time, Carlos couldn’t stop smiling. He felt like the man of the house. Finally.

He never imagined the price of that opportunity.

He watched the car speed away. He locked the door, secured the padlock, and slid the bolt just as his mother had taught him. Everything under control. He went to check on Grandma. When he opened the door, he found her sound asleep, but the creak of the wood woke her up.

“What’s going on?” she asked in a raspy voice.

“Nothing, Grandma. Just wanted to see if you’re okay. Mom went to the hospital with Mari, but it’s not serious. I stayed to take care of you,” he said with a smile.

“Well, well… A little man in charge,” she chuckled. “Alright, but wake me if anything happens, okay?”

“Got it,” Carlos nodded, closing the door gently.

He got comfortable on the couch and put on some cartoons. An hour later, having lost track of time, he heard a dull sound coming from the end of the hallway—right where Grandma’s room was. It was a wet thud, like raw meat hitting the floor. He’d heard it before when his mother chopped chicken and slammed it on the cutting board.

The hallway was dark.

Rain began suddenly, as if the sky had decided to pour all at once. The noise was so intense that it drowned out the television. Carlos knew what was coming: whenever it rained like that, the power went out. Sure enough, a flash of lightning lit up the street—and the house fell into darkness.

Carlos’s heart pounded. He heard the sound again. The same dull, wet thump. His blood ran cold. Something wasn’t right.

What if Grandma had fallen?

Trembling, he got up from the couch and walked over to the cabinet where his mother had left the emergency phone and a flashlight. He grabbed both—but there was no signal. He began to sob. Then, the sound came a third time.

He lit the hallway with the flashlight.

And then he saw it.

A long, humanoid silhouette slid quickly into Grandma’s room. Carlos dropped to his knees, paralyzed with fear. He hid behind the couch, aiming the flashlight at the hallway. Something moved.

A hand. Long, thin, bony. It slowly dragged itself across the floor, as if trying to crawl out of the room… but it pulled back when the light hit it. Carlos, speechless, let the tears run silently down his face. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t scream.

Then, a figure emerged from the room.

Carlos screamed—until he saw it was his grandmother, shielding her eyes from the light. He sighed in relief. He helped her to the couch and hugged her, telling her how scared he’d been.

“Are you okay, Grandma?”

She smiled, but said nothing. Then, in a soft voice, she replied:

“I pushed myself too hard, sweetheart… I’d better not do that again.”

“Want me to bring the chair?” Carlos asked gently.

She just nodded silently.

Carlos picked up the flashlight, his heart still racing, and walked toward the room. In his mind, he laughed at himself for being scared of the dark. “Almost fifteen already,” he thought. But just as he reached the half-open door, he heard the sound again.

The sound of flesh hitting the floor.

Carlos froze. He heard something else.

A voice.

“Carlitos… Carlitos…”

It was his grandmother’s voice. Coming from inside the room.

He looked back. Grandma was still on the couch, now staring at him… with her head completely turned toward him. And on her face… a horrible expression, something that tried to be a smile—but wasn’t.

Carlos screamed and pushed the door open.

Inside, on the floor, lay the real body of Grandma Rosa. Half-naked, covered in wounds, bite marks… blood everywhere. She couldn’t move. She was barely breathing.

Carlos understood.

The sound.

The smell.

It all made sense.

His grandmother had been there the whole time.

The thing in the living room wasn’t her.

Suddenly, the dying grandma opened her eyes in terror.

“Back away, Carlos!” she whispered weakly.

He turned around. But it was too late.

The door slammed shut.

The rain intensified, so loud that no one could have heard his screams.

But something was heard.

A thud.

Wet.

Like raw meat hitting the floor.
