However, there are some insects that are quite familiar to people, which we often see in or around rural Bengal. No matter where they live, this cricket is the most familiar among the various insects. Because it is such an insect that is very dear and favorite to people. Crickets are a type of small insect, which attracts everyone by making noise, especially in the silence of the night. Their bodies are long and narrow, and the color is usually brown or greenish. I often notice that they make beautiful nests near our house or at the base of trees. They keep calling so beautifully all night and morning that many are fascinated by hearing them. Crickets hide in tree branches, leaves or bushes. The male cricket makes a “chirping” sound by rubbing its wings, which is basically a way to attract the female insect. The call of crickets brings a different kind of softness to the rural night. When everything is silent, their continuous call makes nature alive and enchanting. This melody of crickets is like a music of nature, which you only have to feel with your heart to hear.
