Reflection Hunters Contest Round 249 / The Attractive Vegetation of El Cornito
A unique vegetation, consisting of tall bamboo reaching up to 15 meters in height, defines the identity of the El Cornito estate, one of the symbols of the province where I live, Las Tunas.

Located six kilometers from the city center, this natural postcard is a source of pride for locals. The bamboo forest is complemented by a tributary of the Hórmigo River, offering us these perpetual reflections.
The site is the traditional setting for the Cuban peasant festival known as the Jornada Cucalambeana, which has been celebrated for nearly six decades at the end of June and beginning of July.
This territory does not feature vast expanses of this plant. The bamboo population is concentrated on this estate and in the local Botanical Garden. One next to the other, like a single forest.
In addition to beautifying the surroundings, it enriches the biodiversity of species in this area. Specialists confirm that these specimens of flora thrive perfectly in dry zones, as they have adapted to the low rainfall recorded in the province.
Bamboo plantations help conserve the environment because they absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide and provide oxygen to the atmosphere. Their roots also prevent rainwater from washing away the soil.

The timber-like fiber is used in the production of musical instrument strings, furniture, other crafts, and in the construction of buildings such as houses and large thatched-roof structures, where it provides strength, durability, and beauty.
The bamboo specimens contribute to beautifying the landscape and decontaminating the atmosphere.

Muchas gracias.
Beautiful. Landscapes like this might been my house in many walking around the country (Cuba).
Thanks for show us.
