Recently got back to school after one month of staying at home for the Christmas holidays we were given. Spending only one week and some days in school, I start to miss my home and my heart started longing for it again, I had just left
A week ago, frankly , I was comfortable in school, I had just been given my allowances and also given provisions and foodstuffs, sufficient for about two months. But even with all these, my heart still longed for home, desperately.

This brought me to the realization that no matter how comfortable and cushy you can be wherever you are, there's always going to be a desire and longing to go back home, a yearning feeling that can't be killed off.

The longing and the sense of comfort, that's associated with being at home with your parents and siblings, enjoying the little things life offers you together. Going through the bad and the good days in togetherness and bonding in connection.
I urgently longed and craved to be at home again, because as the saying goes “ there's no place like home". My home is a place where my parents and siblings are, here is what I call home.

Home varies according to what makes us feel comfortable, we don't always have to be on guard at all times, somewhere we can let it all loose and forget all about our worries, fears and not fret or fuss over anything, a place where anxiety completely has no hold on us. Home can be either be, a place, person, thing or activity. As long as it has the ability to put you in a place of ease and comfort, in a positive way. Helping you cope with the ecstasies of life.

A thing that you can easily fall back upon, and it helps keep you going, get your groove right after you've done it. An activity that helps shield you,
Cruelty's life is pushing upon you. A person you, you can never seem to get tired of, wanting to spend every single time with because of the serenity of mind they give to you.That is home.

Home for me is three things, one a place where I get to be with my family. Bantering and laughing with my siblings, enjoying the small pecks of abundance life has given to us, as a family. Here I find solace of the inner mind.

Home to me is also a person, who spending time with is never enough. A person that makes me smile at all times, a person I never want to leave, a person I cherish and hold dearly, someone that's constantly on my priority list. Someone that merely hearing her voice gets my heart skipping beats with excitement. A person that makes love worthy of experiencing.

Home to me is also an activity, an activity I fell in love with four years ago, and found out that when I'm engaging in it, my mind is filled with a gracious serenity. It helps keep me away from the reality of life. Basketball it's, the joy I get from hearing the sounds of the ball swishing through the net, the squeaking sounds the sneakers make on the court, the pounding of the ball on the court. The aura I get helps to keep my mental health refreshed, and I seem to lose myself in, carried away in its cushy effect. Home it's to me.
