IF YOU NEED A BREAK, PLEASE TAKE IT!

This one right here was long overdue. The year 2022 has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. Perhaps the craziest year ever.
And it begins...
So, a friend of mine who I had not seen since we graduated from university in 2017 reached out to me to say that he was in my city. I was really excited. Although I hated having to hang out with a social battery of -2, I did it anyway. We met in a really lovely floral-themed place, and I just knew I wanted to return there, ALONE. And I did. Too bad I did not take enough pictures of the venue. Maybe I will next time.
I woke up on a cold Saturday morning asking myself if I forbade enjoyment, lol. Unlike most people I know, I hardly go out, much less take myself on a private date. That day, I made up my mind because I deserved it.
I had been working so hard all week, making double my weekly sales in my dropshipping business. I knew I deserved more. So, I headed out.
Again, I apologize for not taking enough pictures. You see, I was there to unwind and breathe, not to take pictures.
Pams Park is not the most tastefully furnished location. However, if you're a lover of floral decor and a lot of greenery in your space, then you’ll love it.
I went in the morning because I wanted to be there before the evening crowd started to troop in. The seat designs were unique, and I could just tell immediately that the designer put a lot of effort and soul into the concept. There were several seating arrangements, but I chose the open rooftop seats. From there, I could see all that was going on around me.
I cannot begin to tell you how much a day away from everything threatening your mental health and personal space can do for you. I cannot count how many times I closed my eyes to the feel of the fresh and cool breeze. Occasionally, the breeze made my hair dance around my face. I felt like a magazine model posing for a shoot, lol, just kidding!
I tried to focus on the novel I went with, but my customers were bent on sending me a million WhatsApp messages just to ask for the teeniest tiniest detail.
My favorite thing about Pam’s Park was the swing. I haven't played on a swing for ages. I jumped on the swing as soon as I saw it, and it brought back memories of the good old days.
I wish there was someone to make a video of me at that moment, swinging with reckless abandon, excited and relaxed!
When hunger set in, I settled for snacks and a drink. Two hours later, I ordered a plate of Nigerian Jollof, with chicken, and cold juice to wash down the delicious food.
All I did was eat, read a romantic novel, listen to music, take pictures of the beautiful clouds and enjoy the cool breeze. In all of these, I didn’t spend a fortune.
Basically, all I’m trying to explain is that what you need may just be a little "YOU TIME." Take that break and watch everything fall back into perspective.
I got to Pams Park around 11 am and left a few minutes before 7 pm, happy, refreshed, re-energized, re-vitalized, and more than ready to take up new challenges.
PS: If I had to make a list of my favourite places, the beach would be number 1–5. However, Pam's Park is number six.

Heheh 🤣🤣 I will love to go next time lolz 😂🤣 I can carry bag oh heheh 🤣🤣🤣
Imagine I found you lolz 😂🤣🤣
Sounds like a good time you had. Like you, I don’t take myself out very often. I mean, sure I treat myself to a treat every once a while, but that’s mostly still in my room. I just come out, grab some supplies, and head back into my rabbit hole.
I’m sure it’ll be nice going out by yourself though. Maybe not as fun without your friends, and might be a bit lonely, but still fun and re-energizing. I should try that sometime too:)
I dig. I'm more of an indoor person myself. It wasn't boring actually because I needed to be alone. It was really beautiful
That’s wonderful to hear. I should take a page from your book sometime. I need this, and quiet frankly, I deserve it lol.
I bet you'd love it.
