Establish More Credibility As A Person
You're going to stay in relationships. You're going to establish more credibility as a person of maturity. We've all seen people who've been in conflict before and we're watching.

We've all watched a disagreement happen and we're looking to see how people are going to respond. And there's a level of respect that is developed for the ones that we see that have the ability to not retaliate. That's able to walk away.
There's a level of respect because you're thinking, wow, that's that that was big. That was big. I don't know if I could have done that.
But there's a level of respect that we gain when we have the ability to do that. And then the credibility. So it adds to your credibility as well.
Now, what can we keep in mind in order to help us in these moments? And I want you to think about Paul's think about Paul's because remember, when conversations are happening, when situations are going on, there's a lot moving, a lot of things moving fast.
But as confident and effective communicators, we train our brains. We train ourselves to slow down, to think, to listen, to process, to understand.
Now, what does Paul say? Paul says to consider the purpose. What am I trying to achieve before you respond? You need to understand what are you trying to achieve?
Just like the examples I gave earlier about the person saying that the space was boring or the person questioning my some of my thoughts about the topic we were sharing. The first one I ignored.
The second one I responded to. But I knew what I was trying to achieve. I was trying to achieve and turn that into a teachable moment to demonstrate how people can have differing opinions, but still find a way to get along and maybe end up on the same page or simply agree to have different perspectives.
