Anche oggi sono andato un po' lungo!

Devo ammettere però che pomeriggio non è che abbia fatto poi molto, eh eh!

Ho effettuato le mie chiamate su Babel poco prima di cucinare la cena, sono anche riuscito a farle tutte e tre fortunatamente.

Appena finito, doccia, poi subito ai fornelli visto che stasera avevamo ospiti... Tra l'altro, come puoi vedere dall'immagine di copertina, ho avuto un aiuto speciale dal mio Sous Chef Samuele!!!

Ieri notte non mi sono coricato tardissimo, stamattina però mi sono alzato un po' intontito; arrivato l'orario del sonnellino di Samuele stavo per andare a lavoricchiare ma mi sono reso conto che mi si chiudevano gli occhi... Ho a quel punto optato per seguire il resto della Family a letto e farmi una bella dormita!

Nonostante tutto, alla fine, sono riuscito a portare a termine tutti i miei compiti, il che devo ammettere non è male... Confesso però che questo non è stato oggi uno dei miei pensieri primari, il mio corpo richiedeva sonno pertanto ho deciso che quella era la priorità e se non fossi riuscito a finire i lavori nessun problema.

Credo che sia importante saper ascoltare i segnali del proprio corpo, ci sono dei momenti in cui è bene fermarsi e concedersi un po' di riposo.

Per mio modo di pensare, quando sei troppo stanco, sei anche poco produttivo e comunque ci impieghi molto più tempo a portare a termine i Tuoi compiti; non va sottovalutato il fatto poi che si fa anche più fatica e quindi si rischia di accumulare stanchezza su stanchezza.

Ormai hai imparato a conoscermi e sai che sono una persona che macina lavoro, che sopporta bene lo stress e la stanchezza, questo però non significa arrivare all'esasperazione dei concetti; dico sempre che nella vita è necessario equilibrio, credo che lo sia in tutti gli aspetti e non solo in alcuni.

Passare qualche ora a riposare mi ha fatto bene, il fatto poi che fossi accanto alla mia famiglia credo che mi abbia regalato una doppia ricarica, alla fine anche quel tempo è stato produttivo... Forse in modo diverso, ma credo che anche ricaricare le batteria sia qualcosa di produttivo.

È importante, secondo me, riflettere anche sul fatto che una volta recuperate le energie si riuscirà a fare molto di più e molto meglio avendo anche una soglia di attenzione più alta così come una maggiore resistenza.

D'altronde, se pensiamo ad altre situazioni, la fase del riposo è sempre importante; prendiamo ad esempio la palestra, dopo un allenamento intenso e pesante la fase dello scarico e del riposo è fondamentale per permettere al muscolo di sviluppare, questa è una cosa che molti sportivi "Fai da Te" spesso sottovalutano.

Tutto questo per dire che, alla fine, nonostante oggi forse ho lavorato un po' meno non sento alcun senso di colpa, eh eh!

Altro pensiero che vorrei affrontare prima di chiudere questo mio post verte sul fatto che, è sempre giusto concedersi durante la settimana dei giorni di riposo, se si lavora intensamente dal lunedì al venerdì e si assolve tutti i propri compiti non c'è nulla di male a prendersi il sabato e la domenica liberi.

Il tempo libero è importante al pari di quello del lavoro, è durante quelle ore o quei giorni che noi ci dedichiamo di più alla nostra famiglia, coltiviamo i nostri hobby e recuperiamo le forze quindi, a ben pensare, è fondamentale e non concederselo sarebbe un grosso sbaglio.

Naturalmente tutti questi sono miei pensieri e mie idee personali e capisco che ci può essere chi la pensa diversamente, però il mondo è bello perché è vario, no?

Bene, a questo punto credo che Ti saluterò, non sono ancora le due ma, prima di mettermi a letto, devo fare alcune cose e non voglio far troppo tardi.

Grazie sempre per il tempo che mi dedichi, per me è importante anche perché come sai reputo il proprio tempo una delle ricchezze più grandi.

I went a bit long today too!

I have to admit, though, that I didn't really get much done in the afternoon, eh eh!

I made my Babel calls just before cooking dinner; luckily, I even managed to make all three.

As soon as I finished, shower, then straight to the stove since we had guests tonight... By the way, as you can see from the cover photo, I had some special help from my Sous Chef Samuele!!!

Last night I didn't go to bed very late, but this morning I woke up a little groggy; When Samuele's nap time arrived, I was about to go do some work, but I realized my eyes were starting to close... I then opted to follow the rest of the Family into bed and get a good night's sleep!

Despite everything, I finally managed to complete all my tasks, which I have to admit isn't bad... I confess, however, that this wasn't one of my primary concerns today. My body craved sleep, so I decided that was the priority, and if I couldn't finish the work, no problem.

I believe it's important to listen to your body's signals; there are times when it's good to stop and give yourself a little rest.

In my opinion, when you're too tired, you're also less productive, and in any case, it takes you much longer to complete your tasks; it's also important to bear in mind that you're also more tired, which means you risk piling fatigue on top of fatigue.

By now you've gotten to know me and you know that I'm a hard-working person who tolerates stress and fatigue well. This, however, doesn't mean I should be exaggerating. I always say that balance is necessary in life, and I believe it applies to all aspects, not just some.

Spending a few hours resting did me good, and being with my family, I think, doubled my energy. Ultimately, that time was productive too... Perhaps in different ways, but I believe that recharging your batteries is also productive.

It's important, in my opinion, to also consider the fact that once you've recovered your energy, you'll be able to do much more and much better, also thanks to a higher attention span and greater stamina.

Moreover, if we think about other situations, the rest phase is always important; take the gym for example. After an intense and demanding workout, the recovery and rest phase is crucial to allow the muscles to develop. This is something that many "do-it-yourself" athletes often underestimate.

All this to say that, in the end, even though I may have worked a little less today, I don't feel any guilt, eh eh!

Another thought I'd like to address before closing this post is that it's always right to give yourself some days off during the week. If you work intensely from Monday to Friday and complete all your tasks, there's nothing wrong with taking Saturday and Sunday off.

Free time is just as important as work time. It's during those hours or days that we dedicate more time to our family, pursue our hobbies, and recharge our batteries. So, if you think about it, it's fundamental, and not giving yourself some would be a huge mistake.

Of course, all these are my personal thoughts and ideas, and I understand that there may be those who think differently, but the world is beautiful because it's varied, right?

Well, at this point I think I'll say goodbye. It's not even two o'clock yet, but before I go to bed, I have a few things to do, and I don't want to stay out too late.
