Hola, querido hiver.

Llegado el día final de este corto período de descanso me hago consciente de su extrema brevedad. El tiempo se escapa ante nuestros ojos, caminando invisible y veloz. Son jornadas de recuerdos que no regresarán a la realidad, y es de justicia honrarlos y tomarlos fuerte de la mano por si algún día ellos también deciden marcharse de nuestra vera.

Ayer vi un reportaje sobre una actriz española que ha sido diagnosticada de Alzheimer hace un año, Carme Elías. Está documentando todos los momentos importantes para ella porque quiere retrasar su olvido lo máximo que pueda. Damos por sentadas tantas cosas que pensamos permanentes, cuando la vida es un suspiro que pasamos una tercera parte durmiendo.

No vivo más por irme más lejos en días como estos. Desde que llegué a Hive, viajo por el mundo entero sin moverme del sillón. Aprendo de las experiencias de otros usuarios, no importa si son más jóvenes o mayores, si viven en mi ciudad o en el otro lado del globo terráqueo. Recibo y doy ayuda sobre cada duda que no logro descifrar con mis investigaciones. Un minuto estoy adquiriendo conocimientos sobre el cuidado de una planta y al siguiente me entero de la existencia de un token nuevo cuyo proyecto encaja como un guante con mis valores.

Existe tanta vida dentro como fuera de mi mente. Una vez que el corazón funciona acompasado con ella, dominando las emociones que no anulándolas. Que las apariencias no te engañen, merece la pena pararte a reflexionar.

Mi reflexión

Continúo poniendo a prueba mis impresiones, trabajando el pensamiento imparcial. Tengo derecho a dar un paso atrás ante cualquier situación, aplicando de este modo la precaución de entregarme solo a lo que he decidido apostar mi energía.

Asimismo el tomar una relativa distancia de las situaciones que me rodeen en cualquier momento me permite analizarlas con calma y tomar mis decisiones con la información necesaria en la mano.

Es sugerente dejarme llevar por mis impresiones, por esa intuición con la experiencia me regala a través del tiempo. Pero nunca está de más pararse a comprobar. La prudencia es una virtud valiosa que nos ahorra sufrimiento posterior.

A veces no soy entendida por personas que me importan. No comprenden mi cambio de actitud. Pero quien de verdad me quiere permanece a mi lado porque pronto se da cuenta de que tengo una calma que jamás había alcanzado. El resto, sencillamente me sobra.

As the final day of this short rest period arrives, I become aware of its extreme brevity. Time slips away before our eyes, walking invisibly and swiftly. These are days of memories that will not return to reality, and it is only fair to honour them and hold them tightly by the hand in case one day they too decide to leave our side.

Yesterday I saw a report about a Spanish actress who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's a year ago, Carme Elías. She is documenting all the important moments for her because she wants to delay her oblivion as long as possible. We take so many things for granted that we think are permanent, when life is a breath that we spend a third of it sleeping.

I don't live more by going further away on days like these. Since I came to Hive, I travel the whole world without leaving my armchair. I learn from the experiences of other users, no matter if they are younger or older, if they live in my city or on the other side of the globe. I receive and give help on every doubt I can't figure out with my research. One minute I'm learning about the care of a plant and the next I learn about a new token whose project fits my values like a glove.

There is as much life inside as outside my mind. Once the heart works in step with it, dominating the emotions rather than overriding them. Don't let appearances deceive you, it is worth stopping to reflect.

My reflection

I continue to test my impressions, working on unbiased thinking. I have the right to step back from any situation, thus applying the precaution of giving myself only to what I have decided to commit my energy to.

Likewise, taking a relative distance from the situations around me at any given moment allows me to analyse them calmly and make my decisions with the necessary information in hand.

It is suggestive to let myself be carried away by my impressions, by that intuition that experience has given me over time. But it never hurts to stop and check. Prudence is a valuable virtue that saves us from later suffering.

Sometimes I am not understood by people I care about. They don't understand my change of attitude. But those who really love me stay by my side because they soon realise that I have a calmness I have never achieved before. The rest, I simply don't need.
