¡Hola querida comunidad y amigos! Después de un tiempo sin poder publicar porque tenía la computadora dañada y no conseguía el repuesto, finalmente estoy de regreso, con mucho entusiasmo y ganas participar y apoyar en lo que pueda.

Y mi primera parada, fue en la comunidad Holos&Lotus, donde siempre me he sentido bienvenida y a gusto compartiendo mis vivencias y emociones.

Así que, al leer la iniciativa de nuestra querida @damarysvibra, no lo dudé un segundo y me puse a escribir. Creo que además necesitaba hacer catarsis.

Me gustó mucho, como siempre la temática de esta iniciativa, y a medida que iba leyendo el post, muchos recuerdos acudieron a mi mente. Unos me llenaron de tristeza, otros de ira y otros sacaron una sonrisa y lágrimas de nostalgia. No me quiero conectar con aquellos que han despertado lo peor de mí, esos no valen la pena, así que los fui descartando de inmediato.

Creo que ya les he contado un hermoso recuerdo que está ahí, dormido en algún rinconcito de mi mente y que a veces despierta para recordarme lo feliz que fui esos días...

Recuerdo ese maravilloso año 2000, un año que me acaricia el alma y despeina mis recuerdos, el año del preludio de la felicidad. Fue el año en que el destino y Tommi, mi novio, un hermoso finlandés, me llevó a Playa del Inglés, una isla soleada, y me presentó a sus padres, una familia que, estaba segura, pronto sería la mía.

Primero, quiero contar de manera breve, cómo nos conocimos. Fue a través de amigos en común y parece mentira, pero yo esa noche no tenía deseos de salir a ninguna parte, solo quería estar en casa viendo Friends. Pero acepté porque Paola, la amiga que me estaba insistiendo, se iba a ir del país y esa era su despedida.

Apenas Tommi y yo nos vimos, nos conectamos de una manera especial. Lo más curioso, es que luego me enteré por él mismo, que tampoco quería salir esa noche, pero al igual que a mí, casi lo arrastraron a esa salida. Esa noche en que fuimos presentados, algo mágico sucedió. Parecía como si a nuestro alrededor no hubiese nadie más. Ni la música de la disco, ni nuestros amigos. Solo nosotros dos, conversando, conociéndonos y sin darnos cuenta, estábamos tomados de la mano. Vuelvo al día en que me besó por primera vez, fue un beso tan suave y dulce como cabe imaginar y recuerdo haberme preguntado si alguna vez volvería a recibir un beso así en mi vida... eso solamente sucedió con él...

En diciembre, me llevó a Gran Canaria para conocer a sus padres. Ellos, fieles a su tradición, escapaban del invierno de Finlandia, cada enero, para disfrutar de la calidez que esa isla ofrecía a sus turistas. Para mí, era mucho más que unas vacaciones; era la prueba de fuego de nuestro futuro, un mes para tejer lazos y confirmar que lo que sentíamos era real.

Llegamos a Playa del Inglés, en un lindo apartotel con vista al mar. Cada mañana amanecía con una suave luz dorada filtrándose por la ventana, mientras permanecía acurrucada junto a Tommi o cuando él me despertaba con un delicioso té de arándanos. Las noches, cuando volvíamos de cenar, solíamos sentarnos en el balcón, sus padres, él y yo a disfrutar de un buen vino tinto, mientras planeábamos la boda y mi inminente partida a Houston, después del matrimonio. Recuerdo, con infinita ternura, esos paseos al atardecer, cuando la arena tibia aún guardaba el calor del día. Tomada de la mano de Tommi, caminábamos por la orilla de la playa, riendo, besándonos, haciendo planes.

Las noches eran un espectáculo digno de recordar. Después de la cena, la avenida principal de Playa del Inglés se convertía en un lienzo de vida. Nos deteníamos a observar a los artistas callejeros. Sus manos expertas transformaban lienzos en paisajes oníricos con una rapidez asombrosa y con una servilleta, la tapa de un frasco y sus dedos, logrando crear paisajes llenos de vida y color.

Explorar la isla era un descubrimiento constante. El pueblo de Puerto Rico, en Mogán, con su bahía resguardada y sus barcos, parecía un cuadro en 3D, pero el Puerto de Mogán, la "Pequeña Venecia Canaria" como también se le conoce, fue uno de mis lugares favoritos. Sus puentes, sus calles estrechas que nos gustó recorrer y sus casas adornadas con buganvillas de colores intensos creaban una atmósfera de cuento, yo me sentía flotar en las nubes. Si puedo describir lo que sentía, con una sola palabra, esa palabra es "Magia". El puerto de Mogán es digno de fotos para una postal.

Durante ese mes, la vida fue como un cuento de hadas. Los padres de Tommi, con su calidez, me recibieron con los brazos abiertos. Su sonrisa, su humor y su forma de disfrutar cada momento me hicieron sentir parte de su círculo familiar. No solo me aceptaron, sino que me hicieron sentir querida.

Esos días en Gran Canaria estuvieron colmados de felicidad, fue una muestra de cómo podía ser la vida si la compartía con la persona correcta. Sí, lo que Tommi y yo sentíamos era para siempre. Ese viaje representó lo más feliz de mi vida y aunque un par de meses más tarde, Dios se lo llevó de una manera tan inexplicable y abrupta, dejando un hueco en mi corazón, también me dio la hermosa oportunidad de conocer el amor a través de un hombre maravilloso. Eso me sirvió de consuelo.

Hello dear community and friends! After some time without being able to post because my computer was broken and I couldn't get a replacement part, I'm finally back, eager to participate and support in any way I can.

My first stop was the Holos&Lotus community, where I've always felt welcome and comfortable sharing my experiences and emotions.

So, when I read the initiative from our dear @damarysvibra, I didn't hesitate for a second and started writing. I think I also needed to let it all out.

I really liked the theme of this initiative, as always, and as I read the post, many memories came to mind. Some filled me with sadness, others with anger, and others brought a smile and tears of nostalgia. I don't want to connect with those who have brought out the worst in me; they're not worth it, so I discarded them immediately.

I think I've already told you about a beautiful memory that lies dormant in some corner of my mind and sometimes awakens to remind me how happy I was in those days...

I remember that wonderful year 2000, a year that caresses my soul and ruffles my memories, the year that was the prelude to happiness. It was the year that fate and Tommi, my boyfriend, a handsome Finn, took me to Playa del Inglés, a sunny island, and introduced me to his parents, a family that I was sure would soon become my own.

First, I want to briefly tell you how we met. It was through mutual friends, and it seems unbelievable, but that night I didn't feel like going out anywhere; I just wanted to stay home and watch Friends. But I agreed because Paola, the friend who was insisting, was leaving the country, and it was her farewell party.

As soon as Tommi and I saw each other, we connected in a special way. The funny thing is that I later found out from him that he didn't want to go out that night either, but like me, he was practically dragged along. That night when we were introduced, something magical happened. It was as if there was no one else around us. Not the music in the club, not our friends. Just the two of us, talking, getting to know each other, and without realizing it, we were holding hands. I go back to the day he kissed me for the first time. It was the softest, sweetest kiss imaginable, and I remember wondering if I would ever receive a kiss like that again in my life... that only happened with him...

In December, he took me to Gran Canaria to meet his parents. True to tradition, they escaped the Finnish winter every January to enjoy the warmth that the island offered its tourists. For me, it was much more than a vacation; it was the litmus test of our future, a month to bond and confirm that what we felt was real.

We arrived at Playa del Ingles, in a beautiful aparthotel overlooking the sea. Every morning dawned with a soft golden light filtering through the window, while I lay curled up next to Tommi or when he woke me up with delicious blueberry tea. In the evenings, when we returned from dinner, we would sit on the balcony, his parents, he and I, enjoying a good red wine while we planned the wedding and my imminent departure for Houston after the marriage. I remember with infinite tenderness those walks at sunset, when the warm sand still held the heat of the day. Holding Tommi's hand, we walked along the shore, laughing, kissing, making plans.

The nights were a sight to remember. After dinner, the main avenue of Playa del Ingles became a canvas of life. We stopped to watch the street artists. Their expert hands transformed canvases into dreamlike landscapes with astonishing speed, using a napkin, a jar lid, and their fingers to create scenes full of life and color.

Exploring the island was a constant discovery. The town of Puerto Rico, in Mogan, with its sheltered bay and boats, looked like a 3D painting, but Puerto de Mogan, also known as “Little Venice of the Canary Islands,” was one of my favorite places. Its bridges, its narrow streets that we loved to walk through, and its houses adorned with brightly colored bougainvillea created a fairytale atmosphere. I felt like I was floating on clouds. If I could describe how I felt in one word, that word would be “magic.” Puerto de Mogan is worthy of a postcard.

During that month, life was like a fairytale. Tommi's parents welcomed me with open arms and warmth. Their smiles, their humor, and their way of enjoying every moment made me feel part of their family circle. Not only did they accept me, but they made me feel loved.

Those days in Gran Canaria were filled with happiness. It was a glimpse of what life could be like if I shared it with the right person. Yes, what Tommi and I felt was forever. That trip was the happiest time of my life, and although a couple of months later, God took him away in such an inexplicable and abrupt way, leaving a hole in my heart, it also gave me the beautiful opportunity to experience love through a wonderful man. That was a comfort to me.
