I am working on Day 17 prompt of the elftober drawing challenge which is A Scare: The elf is startled by something non-threatening, like a jumping spider or a falling acorn. I want my drawing to include my own character Kumieo from the plant stories drawing challenge. I don't want to forget about her but make her present on most of my future drawing if possible. So here it is the elf who got scared not because of anything else but by seeing Kumieo. Given her plant like look with two heads that look like eyes who would not not be startled right?

This is a work in progress for the elf. I want to use the color blue and purple for the elf uniform. I love making this small details like the bows on her elf boots for cuteness. The real challenge for me is how would I make the posture or gesture and even the facial expression of being scared that is not threatening. Here it is, the mouth that is open wide for the elf does not look all too scary is it not? I guess I got lucky creating that seemingly challenging task. The Kumieo character is already on my file I just adjusted the position of the legs and the jacket to make it work with the startled elf.
